Lewis vs Boak means absolutely nothing. Easy to give someone a bath when you win by 150 points.. I dare it will be a much closer game than that. I think that head to head would be well in our favour. Can't see Lewis having the running capacity or pace to go with Murph.

We've basically fared the same as them with both clubs losing to the top 2 and being unlucky against Geelong. Both have big upset losses against the dogs and crows respectively. They have a slight edge with a win over the Eagles and not drawing with the bombers. That's the difference at the moment, hopefully we can close the gap tomorrow night. It most likely will end up being a dead rubber but we need this win to know we can beat the best, if we lose it will be a crushing blow to our confidence before the finals.

I just want to shut Kennett up, otherwise next week, glowing in smugness, he'll start having a crack at the "assistance" we get from the AFL. Remember, he only kicks when you're down.

Aside from the eventual dropping of the head, I don't see how the margin effects a match up in the midfield? I'd see your point if Boak was playing out of Port's goalsquare, but if anything, would have been given every chance to rectify it, such was the frequency of the ball coming back to the centre square.

Lewis' first quarter = absolute demolition of Boak and a large reason why the Hawks went in 8 goals up.

Mitch can play a big role.
They are the kings of taking a cheap shot and sniping. We need to exert some real physical pressure. Their attitude is that if they bully Carlton around, they'll win.

Bloody Fev and his missed shot in 2009. At least that would have broken their streak.

I'll predict it now.

Hawks flood our forward 50. We kick something like 8.15 for the game. Someone like Robbo or Simmo kicks 2, the rest cheap or manufactured goals. We get a brief run on in the third quarter, but kick inaccurately to make anything of it.

Buddy has a quiet game, AJ smashes Rioli again, someone like David Hale pops up with 4-5 and we go down by about 30-40 points after Hawthorn take their foot off the pedal in the last.
