Make them pay -when was the last time we went for the throat and did a complete demolition

Our side are only going to get better if they are more ruthless physical professional - no mercy

Hampson mclean armfield ellard setanta thorton are all fighting to stay in the team - should be absolutely ruthless

our side should remember the canings that we were subjected to and really go the hammer

We have been catching up with a few sides over the last 2 years - but two in particular we are yet to really catch up with is Hawthorn Essendon* and the bush -never going to get ascendancy if we arent ruthless uncompromising

DEES are wounded need to go for full on execution

We owe them big time. Did they dance on our Princes Park grave? Did they show any pity for a young Jarrod Waite playing the day after his father's death?
Flower the Demons, let them rot

Des, it was actually Brisbane who beat us at PP the day after Vin Waite's passing, not Melbourne....

Regardless, I was there at the last game at PP when Melbourne were trouncing us at 1/2 time by 60-odd points. It was disgusting watching blokes like Travis Johnstone running around free and Russell Roberston kicking 6 whilst rubbing our noses in it. I will never forget, nor will I ever feel sorry for them while we are pummelling them into submission over the next couple of years.

Blues by 51 points

Vin Waite died on 5 July 2003. We played Melbourne on 6 July 2003.

You're sure?

I'm 99% convinced it was Melbourne, at Princes Park.

Besides the 2 games at Princes Park, there is the 2000 QF, the 1994 QF and the 1998 PF.

I have no sympathy.

Do you reckon anyone gave a toss about us when we were crap, and lost the draft picks and was savaged by the AFL. NO.

They all laughed at us.

So Stuff everyone......

I want to kick every team that is down and smash down any team above us.

Yep, those are the ones i remember, our last 3 finals against them. 1988 you mean? Windy day, Northey stacked their backline in the last in what i basically considered cheating in those days. They went on to lose the next week to Hawthorn by a record margin. I hate Melbourne.

Thanks for teminding me. I felt the same way for a few years.
Gotten slack.
Trouble is I like Bailey..ripper bloke. Not to mention it's hard not to soften your stance with Jimmy Stines there and all.
But no. I'm gonna enjoy smashing them tonight...and smash them we should...and make a point of driving it home in the last q.

Sure was, young Jarad kicked a goal just on 3/4 time IIRC, can remember Rex going "ape droppings" over it. Overrun in the last qtr by them, sadly. :hitcomputer:

Watching at the Coast Bar, live, in Hong Kong for any Blues fans!

I'll be the incredibly handsome bald guy screaming at the screen.

Will miss the game as I will be somewhere over South East Asia on the way to Melbourne. Will search for a newspaper as soon as I arrive at Tullamarine.

Go Blues!

Going to the game with my Dees supporting brother in law and father in law...
Hope we belt them by 10 goals +....

Remember Blues.. Uncompromising, ruthless football.... Dont take them lightly, as theres still enough talent in their side to give us trouble if we take our eys off the prize....

I want a smashing from the word go, ala the Gold Coast game in Rnd 2...

I want to see Brock put in a performance that ll finally show us why we went to so much trouble to get him....

I want Waite to take mark after mark and kick goals from everywhere

I want Yazz to put in another McLeodesque performance in the backline

I want Hammer to grab his opportunity as the 1st Ruck and show us how good he can be...

I want Eddie and Jeffy G to cause havoc forward of centre

I want Duigan and Laidler to put in monster performances like they did last week

I want good Setants to turn up

Time to announce on the big stage of Friday night Football that we're truly back in town...

GO BLUES!!!!!!

It was Melbourne we played, not Brisbane.

I remember Neitz straight after the game consoling Waite.

I've respected Neitz ever since.

I have Carlton to win by 60+. If we're any good we should smash this mob.

The only concession is if Judd does not play. I hope he's not a late exclusion.
