if we win tonight does that still mean we can all whinge on TC next week that we still haven't beaten a side above us on the ladder?

Funny, i thought the same thing last night. If we win, and sit 3rd tonight we can statistically and realistically say there are only two teams to aspire to beating. The rest become 'can and/or should beat'.

Watching a little of the error-ridden game last night I was also reminded of the Carlton we watched 3 or so years back. Like melb and WC now we hovered around the 8-10th position. We have come a long way.

Waite to kick 5, win by 19pts.

You're all going to hate me, but I think the Swans will have our measure tonight. Lord Almighty I hope I am wrong, but, Swans at -17.5. $50 for $123 return.

I'll be happy to lose this cash if the Blues get up.

Be a tough game in tough conditions. 8-9 goals will win it. Betts sub.

Blues by 8 points. Garlett to kick three. Ellard and Curnow to star!

Crunched the numbers and Computer says no ... so agree with you but that line is healthy given the supposedly wet conditions.

Missing CHB and CHF in Bower and Hendo, hard ground to play, no answer for Goodes, history against them, 6 day break, Swans off the bye ... Up against it BUT ... should they win: this group plants a huge foundation stone upon which to drive towards September.

In short: Blues have nothing to lose and everything to gain from this game.

If we have a higher score at the end of the game we will be the winners.

Win the clearance and pump it long but NOT to the opposition floater.
Get the ball to ground and play ugly wet weather footy.
This will test Garlett out. His skills and pace will come back to the pack in the wet methinks.

This game is winnable and if we are to climb the ladder we have to beat some of the teams who beat us last year.
Enter Sydney at home (theirs not ours).

..i dunno, he's so light he should just skim over the soggy ground.. ..he might even be quicker as everyone else sinks into the muck..

Are the cricket wickets taken out of the middle of the SCG in the winter, or are we set to see a gluepot Moorabin style...

I am at Moore Park at the moment. The rain has stopped for the moment. The ground is bloody damp though...

I'm looking at the radar and the metrics, it's barely shed a millimetre over the ground since 9 AM...

It has been spitting on and off all day.
It will not affect us tucked up nicely in the O'Reilly stand.
I love watching footy at the SCG.......Go Blues!
