i actually tend to agree that lucas may miss , based purely on the body size of the cats and the type of game i expect it to be if it is indeed wet.

his form does not warrant being left out but the opposition and conditions may make it so.

We are in a good position. When you start saying how stiff some players are to be dropped, its satisfying.

Reading between the lines, I think it will be
IN: Waite, McLean
OUT: Robbo, Lucas

I heard that Scarlett is Buddy Franklin's cousin. Is that true?

Yeah, the Gartlett business is annoying. I think people still think of Hartlett when they try to pronounce and spell his name. Only reason I can think of...

The thing that REALLY annoys me is commentators consistently mistaking Yarran for Betts. They move differently, look different, and have a different flower number on their back, yet Betts is the only one who seems to get the ball :?

How hard is it when that is your job, to commentate on the footy...

Do you really think they would name White as CHF then drop him?

I don't think Houla will play BP on one of the talls, but has been named there because he's one of the 18 who will not be dropped.
My guess is the hint as to who gets dropped is any of those named on the extended IC bench " From......"

after reading this http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/92924/default.aspx, yes i do.

not saying its the right move, but it's my gut feel that ratts will want waite back in the side, confidence or no confidence.

he still has xfactor and gives us a lot more flexibility.

we can throw him forward if santy or hendo need to go back or are having average games up forward.

personally i dont like seeing first gamers dropped when they have been servicable, but button could have had 6 or 7. I liked whites game though and on the bandwagon.

The only way someone named in the 18 can be dropped at this point is to be a late withdrawal, either through injury or suspension. That doesn't look like happening.

The bench loses three players, it's a simple as that.

That would be a weak decision if true IMO.
Waite was OK in the Ants but not good enough to tip Lucas out.

I agree.

Besides perhaps the need for another tall, his form doesn't warrant promotion

Waite's been around for a long time now. He's a big boy.
Yes he's missed a year, but he's been training since last October: 6 months.

I think he has a lot to offer as he is and in context of the opposition having 3 talls forward and back.
He did some good things when he was back, but he sure loked rusty other times.

I'd pick him, but it's nice to have the good form of a rookie like White or Lucas keeping him out.

IMO, he should play at the expense of......oh shit, there's Hadley/McLean to consider too.
Robbo and....................................................I'm glad it's their problem.

I just want a 4 point win for 4 points.

We need an extra tall back in the team this week......but the only change is going to be McClean for Robbo!

Sir Richard must play. He played a pretty good game and was very important in our last victory against the ferral cats.

Sir Richard has to be included.

Take the lead from the Western Force. Great win against the odds against the all conquering Crusaders.

if thats the case then it's refreshing to see that white will be in.

so thats 4 out of Jeff Garlett, Richard Hadley, Kane Lucas, Brock McLean, Mitch Robinson, Jarrad Waite, Robert Warnock to stay.

Garlett will surely play, as will lucas. the worlds gone mad otherwise. Lucas would be stiffer to miss than white IMO.
I can't fathom we would drop warnock and only play one recognised ruck.

so the bench will probably be garlett, lucas, warnock and one of either hads or brock?
it kinda feels like the MC haven't even decided yet and ratts seems torn about waitey which is understandble.

i'd rather he reward form over reputations at this stage but he may take a 'horses for courses' approach and play waite.

waite would be less vulnerable on the rebound on one of the big three and it may actually give him the conferdence he needs to run and carry/set up play on a big lumbering forward.

a few people are saying white will smash pods - why the extreme confidence? white was impressive last week, but if the supply is good he's really going to have his hands full in he's second game. good luck to him though. he's been one of the finds of the season.

no matter who plays - if we play to our strengths we can win.
do we go for run and speed with garlett/lucas or grunt with brock and hads? maybe something in between.
and where does waite fit in.

interesting...we haven't had this problem for about a decade!
