Look the big dilemma is his contract.

There are not many clubs that can take or would want Fev...

So ultimately i think what will happen is he will stay when the dust has settled... with a zillion conditions on his contract which will mean next time he does !@#$%& up.. he doesnt have a contract that we have to honour under the AFL rules.

You can safely say he is not a guy alot of people around the club give 2 stuffs about ...
players
officials
coaches
and familes.

as well as anywhere in the AFL community.

I think our backward views of modern day professionalism has alot to answer for.

Blokes like Sticks and behind the scenes Fraser Brown and their 1990s view of the world need to be eliminated .

We obviously need a culture shift...

Alcohol in that sense has no part in the modern game or the modern world...
The AFL is now more professional.. and shithouse contract choices.. (including Ratts and mates)... belong to the past.

If thats what they wanna do... they can play at another club.

We need professionalim .. and we need it now!!!

Agree with that generally. Seems we need a fundamental change if we are to achieve our potential, we have many of the pieces in place, but the problem of Sticks as President, Ratts an average coach and Fev being able to do what he wants wont get us no. 17 which we all want.

Maybe I should become a Synbad groupie

if we need a culture shift then the whole afl needs a culture shift. there's plenty of players on other lists that have done worse than fev and they haven't been sacked or traded. No doubt we are under the spotlight more these days. we are a threat now. the rest of the comp dont like it and a lot of those little cretins in the media dont like either! they will do whatever they can to bring us down. im sure they'd love to see him traded and us get sweet FA in return

But Bradshaw did come out on TFS and say Fev had him in a headlock at the Brownlow, hardly unsubstantiated.

Who cares. They are mates.
Crawf has done worse on the footy show to Sam.

I think to put 2 and 2 together and assume none of the above is true when the club are considering drastic action is very very naive at best.

He also knocked a beer out of Cooney's hands into a crowd. Oh wait that was the report before the footage was public. That's how credible your rumours are.

Well if none if it is true and if none of anything is true, and Fev did nothing worse than swear at Chris Judd, and sing Time Of My Life poorly, why is the club so pissed of at him?

Some people are really blinded believing this is some kind of witch hunt for Fev.

He just got drunk and made an ar$e of himself, he didn't go out and beat up a taxi driver.

It is obvious that no 1 at Carlton is capable of making a decision. Therefore a sub-committee needs to be put in place (similar to when they look for new coaches) to come up with recomendation to the board !!!!!

Yeah what would Sticks and Ratts know about winning flags? Some one should tell them to consult with the keyboard commandos at Talking Carlton in order to gain some knowledge on how to win a premiership.

Not in the modern game they dont.

Actually Sticks has been in a senior post on board level.. president.. and chairman of selection oversseing our most darkest period...

Pratts money gave him some breathing space... but having these fossils around is holding us back..

I think it's past being an issue to move on from. The fact fev isn't attending tonight and the rumours of Judd saying enough is enough leads me to think we'll trade him.

Question then is how much of his salary we'll have to carry and the I
pact it will have on the pick or player we'll get in return.

What a load of rubbish this has become.

Trade him at our peril.

Fev wont be traded for nothing...get the right deal and he's gone but I don' think the right deal will come our way...so the question is how do they keep him? What structure do we put in place to control his drinking and how do they fix his problems of respect with team mates...will be very difficult

You guys reckon we're one dimensional when Fev doesn't fire or is well held?

Wait to see us struggle without him at all. I fail to see how we'll make the 8 without him.

There is no one in the league or no compensation adequate enough to replace or go towards replacing what Fevola gives us on the field. I couldn't give two shits what he does off the field. Plenty of players in the past have shown they can put off-field issues to one side and still perform. Shane Warne didn't seem to let any of that stuff get in the way, he's generally regarded as the greatest bowler of all time.

I'm not saying turn a blind eye, I'm not saying ignore his indiscretion, I'm saying put it into perspective. He was drunk. Wow, that's an unbelievable story. He behaved like someone who was drunk, what?! how dare he!

Stop acting like football clubs are bastions of light and good and stations of the highest possible integrity. Get over it all, move on, forget about it.

People on here say to move forward we have to trade him, we have to wipe the slate clean. We've all watched us be pretty shit for the last couple years. Trading Fevola will see us be pretty shit for another stint. If you think it won't you're kidding yourself.
