You must have watched a different game last week... NO WAY was Anderson gonna keep hisa spot after last week's effort!!

You have that right. I like young Ando, but I don't think he is up to AFL standard to be honest

Interesting to see they've dropped Douglas.

I reckon either Porplyzia or Burton will miss, and Douglas will be straight back in.

Happy enough with the changes however would have prefered Grigg to Johnson.

Not sure about having Stevens, Houlihan, Scotland and Johnson in the same 22 - they are all outside types with accountability not being their strong suit. Hopefully this won't be exploited by the Crows.

Hmm...it's a bit of a concern for Joey and Grigg at Rd 22 that AB and Fish are in the squad ahead of them... :?

No Austin again. I assume he's still injured?

Johnno looked good on a wing in the VFL last week - perhaps the MC have a similar role in mind for him against the Crows.

Browne has really looked like a player that wants to be part of the senior group the last few weeks - expect him to really lock in hard.

I think we're up against it this week, but we've been good at the Docklands this year and if we can match the intensity we showed in the Geelong game we're a real chance...

Despite the perception, Crowes are not that great at contested possesions. It was in the paper over here (Adelaide) that Crowes were about 13th in the AFL. We were about 5th or 6th.

We can win this, despite all the "experts" constantly under rating us. "Experts" saying stuff like: Crowes are the only team outside top 4 who could push the top 4 teams.....

Keep under the radar, then what do you know, Blues in Grand Final....

It would be funny if we somehow made top 4.....

Doesn't that require a 150 odd point turnaround for us compared to the dogs? lol

Happy with the changes.. Shame about no Grigg though

I can't believe Grigg is not in that team ... he must have stepped on someones toes big time.

Perhaps we're setting higher standards these days. Like expecting our players to kick it with some basic intent of hitting a team mate on the chest. Last time Grigg played, he may as well have been blindfolded.

It's good to see Browne back though. Mind you, he needs to show a bit more composure than he did last time. No doubt Porplyzia will be keeping a better eye out for Brownes shoulder this time as well.

Agree ... Anderson has never been given the opportunity to wind up as a player ... no continuity ... I see with him the opportunity for him to play a stopper role that Joseph would not be able to play ... taking on extractors like Jobe Watson, Joel Selwood etc ... I don't quite understand what Johnson actually brings to the table ?

Also we could have used this as an opportunity to play Bentick ... we are on the eve of the finals ... you need streetfighters when you play finals.

Anyway the three stooges have forced us to unsettle the team in an important game ... five changes after a win ... don't think I have seen this before.

Like the ins and outs. Not sure how we are going to slow the ball coming out of our forward line enough for us to set up behind the ball but the ins are the best we could have hoped for.

Not worried if they go for a tall forward line. Run out of defense at their zone is our only chance. If their big blokes get a few goals we will just have to get more goals through run. Its a gamble but it is our best chance. I think we play our best with this setup.

Go Blues !

Anderson only came in for Armfield. Armfield is back, and no other defensive options went out of the team, so out goes Anderson. It makes perfect sense.

Plus he kept falling for the same tricks against Robertson. It was clear he was never going to out-wrestle him for the contested mark, yet he kept playing those shoulder-to-shoulder. Also spent the first quarter running off his opponent mindlessly.

And as I said earlier, I believe Johnson is coming in as an attacking option through midfield.

Johnson has not played as attacking option through midfield all year. Why would he be recalled round 22 to play such a role. Did you just dream this little gem up?

A war has never been won in the air.......

If you can compete and bring it to ground (Like Wiggo has done...) ..., the talls are useless....and the smalls mop it away....

Not to say you dont need talls.. of course you do.... but you cant go too crazy with them....

Had stints during the Bulldogs game, then was injured.

Had a stint during the Freo game, slotted a late goal. Had a stint in each of the Sydney & Richmond games, did alright.

Started him in defence for the Pies game, we were massacred, got dropped.

He is a wingman; he was originally drafted as a wingman & they've yielded good results every time they've played him as one. Personally, I would have preferred Austin, but if I was going to opt for another runner, he was the next guy.

The MC appear to agree with me. Go back and check my posts in this thread, and then get back to me about who's inventing what.

Did no one watch the game last week. Wiggins missed the last quarter with groin soreness.

The replay shows him being rubbed down.

Bentick is emergency as Wiggins may miss.

With all the other changes, pressure will be on for Wiggins to hold place.

Notice what has happend to Geelong and St. Kilda when too many changes are made.

We are up against a team that we really struggle against. Inside news is that Cloke was likely to be dropped, so we don't have to contract him again.

Betts may have missed with back soreness.

So out of all of this Garlett is the worst off.

Hopefully the team lifts and wins.

Go Blues
