Maybe we could trade him for Travis Johnstone?

Well, the same problem this week, albeit with not so many to consider

Out: Jamo (if injury is that bad), Garlett, ???
In: O'hAilpin, Grigg, Stevens

Garlett, just not up to it yet, give him time though.

I wish we could drop Bower but we can't, he was simply terrible tonight.

Agree that Garlett should go to the ants next week (although I don't expect the soft pricks at the scum to test him like the brions tonight). He's done a great job, but I think he's shown he's not ready to be a 22-game player at this stage. He'll be right though.

Bower didn't have his best night, but despite the fact that Jamo will probably be out next week and we need him, he still deserves his spot.

Simply because he's played well enough over the past 12 months or so, to not get the axe when he has a rough day at the office. This might've happened in the Pagan-era, but certainly not now.

But you're quite happy to jump on the "drop JR" bandwagon pretty quickly.

Far too many people look at him from a very biased point of view. Anyone would think he F%^&ed their Mums.

I'm a big JR skeptic also, but I thought he was quite good tonight. Yes, his disposal needs work as does his decision making. But for the vast majority of the match tonight he kept Travis Johnstone out of the way, no mean feat. And he's done it twice now. Still not sold on him (and feel he's had more than enough time to produce more) but tonight is a poor choice of night to bag him.

JR's game easily eclipsed PB's game, dan take aim if you like but pick the right target.

Garlett was fine. I wouldn't drop him. He had a great pass to Eddie that resulted in a goal. You can't expect a youngster on the forward line to get 15-20 possessions each match.

Russell in the midfield during the last quarter was a worry. I liked his endeavour - he was willing to get into the packs, but some of his speculator handpasses in the last quarter set up Brisbane attacks. Tough call - cause he has improved but either Russell or someone else (not Garlett) has to make way for Stevens.

In: Stevens, OHailipin

Out: Russell? or Joseph??, Jamison (injured)

although saying that... Joseph is needed as a small defender and probably doesn't warrant being dropped. Tough one. Russell could also hold his place in other circumstances.

Joseph is a gun... has the potential to be one of the better small negating player we haven't had for a while. Ahead of Armfield/Browne it seems and has done enough to stay ahead IMO.

I think Stevens will definitely come stright in and Grigg is surely due.

Garlett will be dropped I think, was very good in patches tonight, but he would be sore as hell after tonight's game, worked hard.

Setanta in for Jamison, if Jamison isn't right. The kid is already an important part of our structure.

Good game tonight. Everytime we were challenged, we answered. Lot to like.

Next week against the Bummers:

Out: Jamo (inj) Garlett
In: Grigg Bannister/Stevens

Hope Jamo is okay. Garlett looked a bit rushed tonight and didn't take his opportunities. Will be a very good player but needs to have a go in the Ants

Grigg is obvious as is Stevens. I would play Bannister though. Hard at it, can play tall or small. Good cover for Jamo.

JR was okay in my books. Not great but okay.

dont know why all the hate for bower.

he is not there to take on the likes of Bradshaw and in all honestly, with the way the ball was being delivered to Bradshaw at times, i dont think there would have been a defender in the league that would have done much better. Bradshaw is a massive unit, and strong as hell, in one on one sitauations or on the lead i would back bradshaw in 9 times out of 10 regardless of his opponent.

garlett - has massive potential, but is probably the only player that i could think, that could use a break, rather than dropping him. He wasnt poor, but at times, his size was taken advantage of and some of his decision making wasnt great.

and there is abosolutely no problem with that, he is a kid, coming of the rookie list, and has been fantastic and will be fantastic, but a run in thw two against not so bigger bodies and a game that is a little slower might be okay for him.

outs - jamieson (inj) garlett
ins - setanta (on llyod you ripper) stevens
