Oooh, scary!

You disagree?

We should draw a walk away line, if Fev and his mgm want something beyond that then he is up for trade or can go to Melbourne in the psd.

If HS is writing an article then its probably Carlton mgm who are placing pressure on Fev. HS has a +ve Carlton bias.

Everyone is replacable. I am sure we can get good return on a trade.

If we give in to ranson then it sets preceedent for future negotiations, which by the looks of the talent we have on hand are going to be tough.

Yep, do not get sucked in like Carlton under Elliot.

Stick to a figure, or get something for him in a very good draft if he wants to screw the club.

I love Fev as a player, always have since he came to the club, but no one player should ever damage the team.

Something like letting him go to Melbourne in the PSD?

 nah, west coast.

Give him the same treatment Lappin got - make the next offer smaller cause he's being a dick.

If he wants to spend another 5 years losing, with the Dees shitty midfield kicking it over his head 10 times a game, then so be it.

I'd play for nothing.

Free gym membership. Free tracksuits and shoes. Free Powerade. 8)

Hospital cover would also be included, wouldn't it?

If he loves the club as we're led to believe, been through the dark times and is about to embark on some good times ahead, why would he reject what seems to be a well and truly reasonable offer? Especially with his history?

If this is true, I'm greatly disappointed...

Fev snubs $2m long-term deal

Quote:
Carlton's secret weapon in negotiations may still be embattled former president Pratt, despite his problems during the week.

Pratt is expected to meet Fevola, the player's wife, Alex, and their management to investigate opportunities outside the club in an attempt to secure Fevola's signature.

I'd say there is nothing to worry about at this stage 8)

This from the above article is classic David Alison style management
The Hun wrote:

Dont flower fall for it again Blues. And please John Elliott, STFU

If the above is truly the case then f*ck him off, $2mill is a cracking amount of coin. Take it or leave it i say. He's got 3 choices if i was Sticke and Swan:
1. Take the coin and the good behaviour bonus
2. Trade to a team of his choice
3. Wallow at another club with a crap short to medium term future

I'd be happy with 1 or 2. If 3 comes into the equation then we'll truly know just how selfish Fev is.

For all the Elliot supporters out there wasn't it great to hark back to the good old days when Elliot basically said this week 'give him anything he wants'.

It's a great way to run a footy club if you want to destroy it.

Its just downright embarrassing and sad that even after what he did to the club he still can't bring it upon himself to STFU for a change for the good of the club. Even after he's been asked by the club hierarchy to keep quiet earlier in the week

Its all about John Elliott, always has been and always will be. He is a complete and utter embarrassment.

As tasteless as it appears, the media has become the great negotiating tool of the modern footballer.
In saying that, if Fev isn't content with 10% of our salary cap, I'd rather ship him off and get the picks.
I'd back the club 100% if they stood firm on this one. If it means we lose Fevola but send the right message to our kids, go for it.

Talking about tasteless, its great to see our board members actively lobbying for Pratts job before the ink is dry on his press release.

He won't go, and fine drag it out for another couple of weeks and then just sign and let the club focus on stitching up others that will allow Fev to play good finals football with Juddy before his career is out.

Fevola will not leave. Too often he's stated in the past his love of the club and desire to stay, and while he might not be the most intelligent guy running around, he doesn't strike me as a liar.

As for the media campaign, it's nothing like how David Allison used to perform. His stock in trade was to be quoted directly and slag off the club.
