Excellent I'm so pleased to hear that. Why on earth should we put him on a program that is best for his long term future when we can put him on one that makes him right for round 1.... so we can beat the Tigers!

You need to calm down mate.

Sooner or later he's going to have to test himself out by actually doing some training at ever increasing intensity.

What would you suggest he does seeing as your so offended by the club's handling of his rehab?

Channel 10 news, WTF?

Chris Judd is struggling to be ready for Round 1!

Sports tonight would have to be the biggest joke of a 'sports' show ever! Sensationalist crap. The ACA or Today Tonight or Sports news.

Old media is dead. Long live Talking Carlton (not the chicken little's!)

Another Judd groin article :

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,23177882-11088,00.html

From two people who would know better than any SEN bogan:

Quote:
"He's in a program that's trying to get him to Round 1 right on time and play a couple of practice matches, so he's right on track for us," coach Brett Ratten said yesterday.

"There's no hiccups . . . (but) he needs to play at least one practice match and probably two."

Judd said he felt his injury was taking longer than expected to heal, but was confident of meeting Ratten's timetable.

"The question I get asked the most is, 'When will I be ready?' and the simple answer is I don't know. I don't have a crystal ball," Judd said.

"I'm hopeful of playing a pre-season game and being ready for Round 1."

The grapevine suggests he will be a late starter.

Richmond knows he will be either missing or underdone for Round 1 on March 20.

But the grapevine has had his groin in shreds, too, and that certainly doesn't seem the case.

What I really want to know is... why to people feel the need to have to ring SEN / AW or go on internet forums and spin loads of crap about Chris Judd when in reality, and the evidence was there for all to see at training yesterday, the guy is on his feet, up and about and on track to play in Round 1...
In the beginning, all the constant Judd bashing just made me laugh, but now its starting to p*** me off...

He looked to be training pretty strongly in the footage I saw last night. There was no evidence to suggest it would be much later than round 1, if he is indeed not right to go straight away...

I'm not sure what everyone is worried about. Judd not ready for Round 1? No problem. We'll still beat the Tigers and get 4 points.

Round 2 is where we'll need him.

Yeah, the media are making a big deal out of nothing... We've got Judd for the rest of his career so whether it takes him until Round 1, 2 or 10 to get back doesnt matter one bit in the long run ...
Also, dont forget that in his first season for us back in 1992, Diesel Williams didnt debut until Round 5 or 6 due to AFL sanctions...

The media continues this story for the same reason that s&#*head Corey gets his 15 minutes in the news, and people call up 3AW berating him - because it's media, it's the flavour of the month, it's newsworthy and most people like us want to hear about it - or at least know what's going on...

And I can bet those calling SEN and so on just want their 15 seconds of fame, are probably Scum or Filth supporters and like making up Carlton fans sweat.

Nice to know we have TC to keep us honest.

That was possibly the shittest news report ever. The voiceover is going on about how Judd is behind schedule & struggling to make rd 1, while the footage is showing Judd training freely. And then the topper - "and even coach Brett ratten sought a second opinion..."

Goes to footage of Ratten's press conference - "yeah I asked the club doctor & he said he's fine"

More quality from the team at Sports Tonight.

i dont know if this has been mentioned, but what i love about the classic "inside source" or "close medical friend" and "leaked medical info" that purports to be a doctor close to the patient is that it seems to be in direct conflict with the age old 'hypocratic oath'...i always laugh knowing that if a medical professional were to leak this theyd be tracked down fairly easily and have their livelihood placed in jeopardy.

For the nervous nellies... Luke Ball and Chris Judd are the same age, both played for Sandy Dragons, were taken at 2 and 3 in the 2001 draft, both captained their clubs last year and both had the same injury and the same operation from the same surgeon. Luke said this morning on SEN that everything was going to schedule and he planned to have his first hit out in the 3rd round of the preseason comp - sound familiar?? So far no one has batted an eyelid or said anything other than Luke Ball is 'flying'. Never underestimate how many people are hoping and praying that Chris Judd and Carlton fall on their collective arses before you swallow the bullshit that's being peddled

The best thing about all these rumours going round at the minute is that they are constant reminders to one and all that the Carlton FC is still standing!!!!

My mail is a bit different to every one's else. Mine is that he missed the plane back from South Africa and they have been using a Chris Judd lookalike for training at Princes Park.

Apparently the going rate is quite good. The club is only paying $2000 per training session for the Chris Judd lookalike to attend training and run around.

Is this bigger than the Paul is dead rumours for the Beatles back in the 1960's?

I think it is.
