The TD surface looks to be in fantastic shape but I'm still a little nervous thinking how players like ADL and Kouta are gonna handle it with their suspect feet/knees.

dont know if you are a social club member GA but if you are all social club members can just rock up to the ground and swipe their card like at OO or MCG even if it is a all ticketed event. There is a standard issue amount of social club seats (5000 from memory) and its a case of first in best dressed.

Also, at the Stephen Kernahan Presenatation thing at TD they said that they are going to try and create a special socal club entry door so that we can swipe our card there and go directly into the Sticks Room then onto the social club seating area.

At this intial stage - i had my doubts about the social club benefits at TD, but at this initial stage it seems positive :D

I agree that it's fantastic that we are winning at what is now our home ground. If we win this week, and say the Eagles win too, will we play again at the Dome or in Perth or don't we know the answer to that yet?

Most goals kicked Sporny. Carlton are (off memory) currently on 31 to the Eagels 27. They must not kick more than 4 goals against our total goals this weekend.

As long as they keep the roof open I'm happy. :D

We had to move but I still don't like the roof.

Reminds me of Nunawading basketball stadium circa 1982... :?

I honestly dont think the way we have been playing has anything to do with TD.
It is the pre-season, the motivation and the passion that each and everyone of the Carlton boys have put in to get them to play as a team and kick some butt.
Very happy with the way we aree looking so far.
Would still prefer the MCG :P

I LOVE TELSTRA DOME...................ALways Have...............in all honesty, i think it's a brilliant stadium, really i do.

I just don't like the way it's run or the managment!

A few months ago, I was lucky enough to final get to see a New Orleans Saint NFL game (GO THE SAINTS!) at the 36 year old Superdome Stadium in the city of NO.

Now, for 36 years old, this stadium is impressive and i'm pretty sure it was the first in it's kind.

To be honest, the Telstra Dome is a very similar stadium albeit much much more modern.

The Superdome seats approz 60,000, mainly cause the size of the field is so much smaller. But the best thing about it is that no matter where you sit, you seem somewhat closer to the action than other stadiums.

Ditto that of the Telstra Dome.

Whilst i was in New Orleans, i happend to have my laptop with me and on it was the Carlton Vs Port Adelaide game from this year. So i showed it to a few New Orleans locals and they VERY impressed with our Dome...........Then, when i told em the roof opens up they almost fell off their chairs (in their defence, we were drinking quite a bit!)

So whilst i'm upset about moving from PP, i think the time was right. And TD is a great venue in a perfect location (not to mention just 10min walk from my house) and EASY to get too.

Get rid of the managment their and it'll be almost perfect!

ryan I disagree with everything you say, sit up on level 3 with the roof closed and you feel isolated - it's because you are sitting in the dark - kind of like being at the movies, level 1 is ok though but I just can't warm to the place - way too many seats were given to medallion members

I disagree with you and agree with Ryan. I really like the dome. I just wish we played more friday night games there.

I hate the Dome. There is no soul about the place, its a ground for the corporates and our record there is terrible. Its no coincidence that Geelong are so strong this year and have their own home ground.Re-develop Princes Park into a venue for playing the interstaters.

I think the Social club deal at the dome is WAAAAAAy superior to the social club arrangements at the G.

Still not ideal, but compare it to the shoddy seats and bar 2.5km away from said seats at the G, it's much better.

Love going there when it's pissing down though...
