Hi guys,
Barnesy from Talking Carlton here.
I just got on too help out Phoenix Johnson (PJ), as he has done a lot of ground work with our last game against Collingwood at Lexus Centre on the 18th December.
I have been new too the Forum Games this year, but really would like too help out PJ and a couple of the others too almost try and make this an annual event for us all.
This is our understanding of details:
DATE - Sunday 22nd January 2006
Teams - TalkingCarlton v BomberBlitz
Bounce - To be confirmed 2pm / 2:15pm / or 2:30pm
Venue - To be confirmed (probably Glenferrie Oval)
We just both need too supply a field umpire. Boundary and goal we have not used, but the more the merrier and easier for us all. Scorer as well.
We started our last game at 2pm, but are flexible. A 2:15pm start maybe better overall. Your thoughts.
Numbers
We have nearly 20 people listed for the 22nd January. We will aim at 25 and end up with probably 22 or 23 on the day.
When we played Collingwood they had 35 listed and 21 turned up. So important too be committed if you are going too turn up, but it was great fun.
We have got a couple of younger kids, one got BOG so can hold his own but they will handle their whack played in the right spirit, so we allow for that.
Obviously you guys will sought your team out, we will sought ours out, we just need to fix up a venue.
Venue Choices: ??
Glenferrie Oval -
if one of you can contact them and see if they are free that would be good, and we will try as well.
It may be good too see if there are alternatives nearby as well, just as a back up.
Anyone live in the area that may know??
If you guys can drop us a line soon that would be good
http://www.talkingcarlton.com/phpBB2/vi ... php?t=7398If we can set in stone the start time and venue everythig else takes care of itself.
Ayway just wanted too touch base with you all.
We look forward too meeting you guys on the 22nd.
Have a great New Year and hope we can confirm this all ASAP.
Have a great one
Regards
Barnesy.
We need too sure up a field umpire, scorer etc. I'd say we go for blue shorts if possible.
Anyone live near Glenferrie so we have alternatives if something goes belly up last minute.
