AB has the potential to bring many of the qualities that we lack so poorly at the moment. He is young, hard at it, has some leadership skills and looks to me like he plays for the jumper. He seems enthusiastic and genuinely happy to just be getting a game.

He is not the quickest bloke out there but he seems quick enough. His decision making is good and his skills look good too. Even his much maligned kicking seems to be on the improve. 3 Brownlow points and 35 touches against the pies (admittedly they didnt have their best team on the park), what's not to like!!!!

Interesting. I hadn't heard his kicking skills being criticized before, and anyone watching that Collingwood game would soon forget that supposed weakness.

jack, there was a bit of stuff on AB's kicking earlier in the year, including some background on training from Cazzesman.

Apparently AB did some sprinting training ove the summer to improve his pace, which changed his kicking action somehow. eArly 2005 in the Ants and AB was missing passes he always made in 2004, when at least at Ant level he was clearly one of the most skilful out there. There was one Ants game in particular where AB was relly frustrated with missing simple kicks - he was yelling at himself out thereon the ground and clearly frustrated.

It appeared to take him a while to get the kicking back in action, but by the end of the season - coinciding with his return to the 1's - the issue had gone.

Not sure its ever been maligned - more a short term problem that he worked though.

He loves the Club dearly. I wonder how much the Club uses that against players in contract negotiations, and whether AB will push for more cash in future.

Anyone know how long AB and Teague were re-signed for?

Fancy a Carlton player recognising his own weak areas and actively trying to impove them? Gee I wish we could bottle that and make a few of the others drink it.

You would think Bentick will only get better when Murph slots in next to him.

Teague plays best when he is able to zone off his opponent and either spoil or mark the long kick in. Hopefully having Saddington in defence allows Teague to zone off

The above quote has to be the most idiotic statement i have heard in a long time!

Bentick is 20 going on to his 3rd season. He has played around 30 games because he plays in the hardest position on the field. He plays body on body with more physical players. He manages to get effective possessions and puts pressure on his oppenent by tackles. How can you say that he wont play many games for Carlton.

Rather than stating a stupid opinion you could at least back up your reason why you think he wont play many games for CFC.
