Care to elaborate for those of us in the Northern states who won't see a replay until 1.20am?

Waite looked to get a bit over excited with the Chris Johnson insopired bloodlust and was wrestling everything that moved. Was having a bit of a dance with an Irish fella at half time and HEaly came out and grabbed him and flung him in the direction of the team huddle.

He settled down in the second half but only had a few possies, including a set shot that went miles wide.

Thats it Ponky...........Love the fact that Jarrad has a bit of agro.......But his sense of timing is plain shithouse!!!!!!!!! Always get caught up in inconsequential nothing bullshit scraps and makes himself look like a petulant schoolgirl.I'm sick of it.Bout time he grew up and acted like a man instead of a sooky la la schoolboy. The likes of Archer and Rischuttio would chew him up and spit him out.Reckon Jarrad is one of our shining lights of the future.....but please, cut the little kids crap and get on with the fair dinkum stuff .

See what you mean Mickstar...If Waitey would focus more on the actual game and leave the other shit aside, I think he'd become a damn fine player...What fine examples has he had around the club to look up to though!!??...Campo???...This is where I think the addition of a Terry Daniher will come in handy...Direct the kid a bit more and show him how to really play!...

Overreaction IMO. A bit of push and shove but the camera didn't pick up everything. Prior to half time, he was in a bit of a scuffle with an opponent, looked like Waitey copped a couple of soft ones to the midriff, then when he went to remonstrate further, the Irish coach had a few words to say.

The Irish started quite a few incidents then covered up when the heat came back on and made it look like it was all the Aussies.

Pretty quick to attack our own without being fully aware of all that took place out there.

Waite did not harm to Carlton's cause, and was a small part of what was going on out there. I say we should get off his back. Seems that some players read the boards and if they are misrepresented by people that are supposed to support them, it isn't hard to see why they lose their loyalty. We are the first to lose our loyalty to them.

Managed to catch the 2nd quarter. Not really enamoured with the IR concept, but back to Waite - I agree Mickstar. He is involved too much with the inconsequentials! Focus on the real deal and get better at that, not push and shove. There are better ways to show your prescence. Agree also with TD and his prospective role - I think we should see a marked improvement in Waite's overall game.

One more point... Johnson's coat hanger was a discrace - just a thug! What was he trying to achieve with that? Shouldn't be in the Aussie jumper again!

Campo was the petulant schoolgirl, Waitey is just finding his feet and marking his territory. If Waite always does this as suggested, then I would be quite happy for his to stick with what works as his improvement has been constant. He doesn't spend his time mouthing off at umpires and playing for free kicks, he plays a team game where 1%ers matter and goes to bat for his teammates.

Iron my pleats and pull my pigtails, I'm happy to back Jarrad overall.

We are all for Jarrad also Old Dark. The kid is 6ft 4in. in the old and has pace and mobility to burn. Also love that aggression. But,i repeat, his sense of timing is shithouse. It just wasnt friday night's game, but a series of unnecessary skirmishes over eff all at the wrong time.If you cant see that or choose to ignore it then thats your call. But i want him to concentrate on his undoubted ability to play the game and leave the other stuff alone. For mine,he is doing himself a disservice.

Fair enough, that opinion is a little more balanced than angry insults like 'petulant schoolgirl' and 'sooky la la schoolboy'. I'm pretty sure Jarrad would not take kindly to them either. He's a big lad in a big body and has started to hold his own physically. Opposition players will test you out and rather than turn the other cheek, the young buck in him is looking to keep his pride intact. Previously he was too young and too raw to hold his own IMO. He is finding his feet in the big time and mistakes will be made. My point is that he will mature without the disrespect and insults. He is hardly at that point now where as a well paid professional footballer, he is fair game like many of our senior players who have been around a while.

Waite has improved every year so far so we can't conclude he is wasting his talent just yet.

No probs Old Dark. For sure its all in front of him.Could be anything. As you say Old Dark,he gets tested out.But so does everybody. Its the way he reacts that to me,is over the top.Reckon they should show him a replay or two of his Dad.Vinnie was way to canny to get sucked in like Jazza. Its only a matter of being a bit less unbridled and picking the right moment.TIMING IS EVERYTHING.Just back off young fella and concentrate on the pill. When he finally cracks it, its going to take a damned good player to stop him.

Waitey and Skinny must've been loving it. I reckon this was the first time that they've been able to get involved in a skirmish and teammates have came in to help them out.

Something Carlton have to sought out for the future. Blokes who are ready to go to war with eachother. The new wave are, Bentick, Carrots, Simmo, Waitey and even Fev. Thank god where getting rid of the Campos that just @#$%&! off when it's time to show some leadership.

Fev wouldn't have been supsended last year if blokes had've came in and helped him out instead of leaving him laying hopelessley in a headlock by that Freo faggot.

Great idea. Under the third man in rule we'd cop a huge fine for a melee that we are in no position to pay. While I'd love to see extra physical aggression, it has to be within the rules (think Earl Spalding type aggression).

Waite wasn't used well by teammates. He had a distinct height advantage over his opponent and was one out but not once was the ball put up for him to attempt to mark.

No.

They would've came in and pulled the Freo bloke off Fev... helping out a mate... meaning that he wouldn't have had to eye gouge to get him off him... meaning he wouldn't have got suspended.

The problem is that about the only bloke that would've done that out of our current side is the bloke that was on the ground being choked and having his dreads wrenched.
