Whitnalls manager has publicly stated the Lance is waiting to see if the club can move some players on to meet his demands.

If half the supporter base think he is greedy and selfish, comments from his representation only reinforce those views.

I wonder how much of an influence Nixon is here. I reckon he is pushing up Lance as much as possible for obvious reasons. I just don't think Lance is smart enough to be playing this game. I hope their grandstanding falls in a heap and they end up having to accept 100K (from Coll or Haw)

Melbourne seem the most keen on him, so we should be dealing with them unless another club comes to us with a better deal.

Listening to Rocket in an interbiew a few days ago he sounds like he is not chasing anybody. Greg Miller also did not sound like they were after anyone.
Melbourne or bust at the moment. I really wish Motlop was not on the market so trading Lance was easier for us to Melb.

I think you'll find Motlop will end up at one of the SA clubs.

Despite Ch.7 reporting last night that Lance had been offered a 3 year deal from the Dees, according to the Age today he has been offered a two year deal.

Craig Cameron has named Motlop and Lance as players he is interested in.
If that was just Lance then I would be a lot more confident thata top quality trade was available.
If we are offering 350k by 2 years then we really need Melb to be offering 400k by 3 years at least to get him to move on.

Yes Cameron has named Motlop and Lance as players they are interested in. We have the advantage though. Lance doesn't want to move back closer to home. But then again, S.Motlop, Davey and Whelan are all at Melbourne and are all connected to D.Motlop in some way.

I still think Lance would be their priority given that they are in need of another KPP. Motlop is more of a tall flanker ala Waite.

Also reported that Ben Holland wont be offered a contract until after trade week if at all. Sounds like they will wait until seeing if they can get Lance.
Not much salary cap room over at the Demons. Yze and Neitz re-signed.

I guess we will know soon enough. Nixon will leak any clubs interested in Lance. I hope it is more than just Melbourne.

I'm not a Lance hater but really, after what he has been reputedly on, and for his output $300k or thereabouts is amazingly generous. I'm in the trade Lance camp now....but Blues - don't get screwed, I'd take 2 top 20 picks, don't want any hack cast off players.

Despite Rocket saying the other day on SEN that there aren't any KPP out there for them to trade for, I get the feeling he was playing clokes and daggers and that they are interested in Lance.

He's the only decent KPP on the market at the moment.

Any team who is need of one would be stupid if they didn't at enquire about him.
