whilst i suppose the WC and AFL is different to our season over here the same factors apply to all sports: all teams are unpredictable. last year in the league cork almost qualified for the semi-finals of the league and were playing very well. then come championship time we got our heads kicked in by Kerry    and Fermanagh a team which we had beating comprehensively in the league. i do hope the boys take this form and confidence into the regular season but pre-season form counts for nothing if you aren't competing come september

I really want the boys to be excited. I want them to desperately want to win.

As sportsmen, whenever they run out the field they shuold have the desire to win.

Now what I don't want to see is any mass gloating if we win the thing, and assumptions that things will just happen. Under Pagan though, I have absolutely no belief that this can happen, he's the master of keeping a level head himself and following that through to the players.

Get excited boys, be hungry, hit hard, and play like there's $220,000 at stake :-)

Footy show... footy show... hmmmmm. Can''t remember that one. Didn't it used to be on about 10 years ago? Haven't seen it for quite some time.

I want twenty minutes of my life back! Thought with the Stevens boys on I would do the unthinkable and watch TFS for the first time in years. What was I thinking???? Sam Newman in his jocks – check, squaring off against Naomi Robson over something no-one in the audience cared about – check, Eddie treating Nathan Buckley with kid gloves and then rabbiting on about Collingwood’s revolutionary footy jumper – check. Turned off before the first ad break. Never again.

I believe I speak for many of us, including Garth, when I say

Didn't bother to watch it last night. Couldn't be bothered. And yet I get to find out that nothing out of the ordinary happened - Eddie went and did his Collingwood schtick like he does every bloody week. Revolutionary footy jumper?! WTF?

You missed the most shocking bit Blue Bird: Ray Shaw was serenading our very own Dannyboy!

Mrs lloyd appears to be taking her singing very seriously if you read todays paper...got a bit cut up about the bagging she received....had to have a lie down and couldnt go to work ...funny Lisa... your singing had the same effect on me.
You have to laugh at the ego's of some of these players/spouses....do they really think they are that important in the scheme of life and that we actually take them seriously....

She wasn't the worst, but was arguably the worst of those that appeared to take their singing seriously.

Sam's rant made no sense and I realised when he'd finished that I'd tuned out completely and was fiddling with my mobile phone instead.
There was bugger all discussion about the actual match this weekend, but plenty of unfunny crap. Sam with the TV montage which was cringeworthy, Trevor and his Collingwood branded things that I assume were supposed to be humourous etc etc.
Looks like it's another year of doing something else while it's on. The only good part of the show is Almost Football Legends.

Couldn't believe how much of a dud Tervor's jokes were towards the end. Why they had bothered to get someone to mock up those spoofs of those Herald Sun inserts, I don't know.

Before they wasted their time, didn't anyone say: "Save it fellas. Not funny!"

Haha, I reckon reading the post show analysis of TFS is better than the show itself. Keep it up peeps.

And what about having the "neutral" reporter (cant remember who it was) delivering the breaking stories. As if McChins doesnt "advise" him on what stories to break. Could almost see his hand up the back of his shirt using him as a puppet. What a joke !!!!!

The funniest thing sam has done in years is the photo on the front page of the Herald Sun tv guide.

Nice pout poof.

he is no longer funny, but is now sad.

Please do not besmirch our fine homosexual brethren by categorising Sam Newman among them.

Sam belongs with lobotomy patients and the catatonic. Is there a word for them? Ahhh yes.... Channel 9 executives.

I now know y over the years i have never watched this bloody show. Last night i watched it because we r in the GF an i THOUGHT that maybe they might talk about us in a positive way.

But how wrong was I?
1st they spoke to Fev about our $12 to $13 million loss. Then i think it was, good on Carlton for making to the GF but...........if they do happen to win the cup u can safelty say that u will be able to bid on it on ebay.

Then it was jokes on Lance. Good on Fev for putting them in there place.

Sam then has a crack a at Stevo for having his teeth done, to witch Stevo says."Do u really wanna cmpare my work to urs?" Both Fev and Stevo are on the ball.

Then once they started talking about the teams bloody Sam comes out and starts sooking about how everyone is talking up the teams, when all that was happening was the players were talking about both West Coast and Carlton and who is going to win and blah blah blah.

What a shit show!!!!!!

I got a real kick out of Andrew Staartins impersonations of Bruce, Mike and Caro.
That man is a genius.

Reckon when Eddie and Trev laid into Fev about Lance, Fev should have hit him back with...

"So where's Collingwood playing this week, Ed? Oh that's right, Woop Woop"

Would have went down a treat.
