Only hope is that the bye works against the Pies, otherwise it will get really ugly.
I expect we’ll match the Pies for a few quarters, but expect the fresher team to run wild in the 2nd half.
In the end it won’t be pretty.

I thought Cowan was pretty solid last night. No major stuff ups that I saw. He is the future. He needs to use his prodigious boot more than he does and to use his dash more. But he is learning and is worth his spot. 27 games in and another 30 and he will be a consistent performer. He's a keeper.

Sadly Doc has been a great servant, but father time is tapping him on the shoulder.

That's what he's got going for him. I agree. Not that I think you know much about developing kids

Not sure if I'd consider his return this year as solid this year, but I would agree his body is. I do love him for what I've seen of him last 2 years, and hope he stays with us in the future. He's only a kid and standing up.

Speaking from my armchair with those at the ground I asked about him, and I recall he was "loose" at times. Maybe that's by coaches design.

What a baptism that would be for Carroll. He's a cool headed kid. He'll get through it...don't tell Sydney Blue Carroll takes Govs spot.

I do get where SB is coming from re kids developing body and game in the VFL till they're knocking down the door, which 19yo Lucas did do in the preseason.
I'm glad I saw Lucas play footy at the highest level, and stand up.

Those bottom 3-4 players need a rocket. Can't keep rewarding conditional players, which they are.. I can't forgive Motlop's selfishness. Typical. He played selfish footy in the praccy games. Doesn't know his limitations. Thinks he's playing VFL. Needs a wake up call and go back to the VFL to star imo.
