I was happy with the experimentation.

So Lewis Young is technically amongst our weakest players, yet he does well in the ruck & they tried him at f/forward for a bit. No longer a weakness if a pinch hit ruckman as he takes some load off McKay.

ZAc Williams & Motlop got midfield time. I like the idea of building up versatility there.

Thought Fantasia elevated himself.. not a player I really rate as he doesn’t get involved often but his chasing, harassment & involvement was encouraging.

I just watched the replay.
Well that was a better effort across the board.

Lucas Campo.........do people still have an issue with the F/S rule?
About time we got a genuine wing that is quick, tough, smart, defensive, offensive and can most of all, kick the football.
I know it is only preseason but with Jagga going down this gives us something to look forward to this year.
And if Ben is better, put him on the other wing and get rid of Acres, he was awful, still can't kick.
Maybe Acres and Docherty can rotate HB/middle to add some size.
And even though Ollie got a bit of the football, he is still too easily pushed aside and over kicks the footy, not sure if we can risk that in the big games, maybe he can be in the Acres, Doc rotation.

Kemp was great, I honestly thought he would not make it but is turning out to be quite the package.
I can see him playing alongside Charlie and Harry causing all sorts of headaches.

I thought Young last week was pretty same old, same old.
But maybe he has found a spot as the 3rd ruck......I won't hold my breath though as he didn't compete against their no.1.

Williams, Cerra, Cowan and Haynes all played some good football also.

Bring on the next practice match, round 1.
