We have ignored this for 9 years of drafting. You reap what you sow

Not interested in having the usual bullshit ruck debate, the facts speak for themselves. My beef is with the coaches/leaders who continue to fuel this nonsense, not with any posters.

Nailed it. You cannot argue with the record. 9-1 this season playing one ruck

Cerra was terrible and Walsh ineffective by his usual standards.
Marchbank used to be a good player but it looks like injuries have caught up with him.
O Hollands gets ragdolled in the contest however there don't appear many viable options. Why wasn't Cottrell made to earn his spot back in the side.

No viable options? Cuningham play badminton does he?

For everything he has done and what he has meant to the club and all that bleed blue, couldn’t be more modern Carlton to perform like this in his 200th.

I’m @#$%&! fuming. More so because I was daring to dream. We are miles off achieving what we all want.

we won't win a final let alone a gf with this selected team.

to make things worse. no gawn, no melbourne and if the drug cheats win tonight, they're 2nd. not us.

time to wake tf up...our coaches and selection committee are killing us, and the players have tuned out whatever the messages are. it's a concern.

It all starts with team selection
Cottrell before being injured was struggling and now he is a automatic starter after missing 10 weeks he wouldn’t make any other off the top 12 teams
Why do we drop a small forward and bring in a ruckman who is simply no good
Kennedy has been in our top 3 players over the last 3 games so why is he starting as our sub
Why was tdk not selected 3 weeks ago when he was in form since missing that week he is struggling
Hewitt is our most lock down midfielder but now can’t even get a game
Williams , marchy , Martin , cunners and gov all should be moved on always injured

Actually, the Pies, lost round 20, 21 and 23 last year. Won Round 22 by just 8pts.

We could be going through a heavy training patch. Time will tell.

Yep. This team is killing me. The turnovers and effort in that first 10 minutes gave me that awful feeling.

coaching has so much to answer for.

we were playing one ruck, hard tagging cincotta onto their best, moving the ball coast to coast and applying pressure on their forward entry. as a result out metrics were thru the roof and we looked flag bound.

now we're back to a middle of the road, plodding team who's just in finals to make up numbers. it's beyond frustrating. obviously despite some of the soundwaves in here, it's not a case of 'in voss we trust' and to rucks and 3 key forwards is a horrible, horrible idea.

I like the optimism Jim but it’s obviously a training patch that beautifully pairs with our stupid selection decisions.

When our bottom 6 are bad, they're really bad.

Cerra and Cottrell both missed too much footy to come straight back in.

I am so bummed for Cripps but unfortunately he's probably used to it.

I have wondered that. It also may partly explain wacky selections.

It's absolutely decided now. If Voss goes with this set up any more, he is simply being pig headed. Pitto only plays if TDK can't.

Our midfield defensive pressure the last 2 weeks has been non existent. I don't think it's any coincidence that it's 2 week without Hewett. Unless he is injured and they're not telling us, I just don't get it.

Olli and Cottrell can't be in the same side. A lot of running for zero impact. One or the other. Or neither. Honestly see no value in either in current output.

Marchbank is now in the Plowman category. Panics under pressure. Always reactive. Awful decision making. Undersized. Stamp his papers. Done

Charlie = lazy and selfish at the moment. It's really disappointing. Feel like he's more interested in the Coleman than being in a successful team. 3.7... arguably cost us any chance of winning today.

Finally, the slap in the face to Cripps playing his 200th today. The guy has gone through probably 170 games of shit for this club. The last 30 he probably thought he was finally turning the long awaited corner. Every person at the club should feel ashamed for that performance today. Nothing but a big @#$%&! you to Crippa.

We reset after the Sydney shit show. I thought that was going to be the catalyst. Can we reset again? If they think next week is a soft kill, they will lose and the season is free fall. I genuinely fear for this season

I’m not slitting my wrists like some of you in here. We’ve fallen out of form.
Not by much, but by about 5%. We did in July of last year, too.

We’re paying a price for playing good players whose form is iffy at best:
Walsh is in middling form. Charlie is playing on talent alone. Both rucks have fallen off. Cerra, Boyd, Cotters, E. Hollands… all in middling form.

The challenge is whether we back good players to bounce back in the seniors or let them find their form in the seconds. The challenge to the blokes in the seconds is to make it impossible *not* to pick them…

Bris were poor towards the end of last year too.
I am big on the training blocks. I reckon we are in or around one. We will come home strong. Picked two rucks to somehow muscle a win but we got run off our cement feet by a fleetfooted Dogs who are coming out of a training block.
It will turn and we will pick better teams. 1 ruck and another small fwd. The mids and back flankers will run better. We finish the H &A
on 15 wins and in good form.

Nah.

They’ll win next week.

Charlie will kick at least five.

Everything will be right with the world.

Top four here we come!

Then they’ll shit the bed against Port the following week.
