gov, weiters, tdk and williams all looked sore after the gws game. so i wouldn't be surprised if there's many ins/ outs

I was thinking about Young with respect to the GWS game. We talk about insurance policies for the ruck, but we're also clearly lacking an insurance policy for Weiters. It's such a shame Young hasn't progressed because he could have been a dual-purpose insurance policy. Home (ruck) and Contents (kpd). But I don't trust him to play either role to the required level, so if we were going down that route I'd play Pitto and get the resting ruck to play in defence if the likes of Darcy/Naughton/Lobb were monstering us.

I actually think Young is a better ruckman than defender - he has also been playing forward a bit in the twos

If Weiters was out I dont have an issue with him coming in and filling in against the dogs
If you cant get motivated playing against your old team then there is no hope for you

I suspect they will bring in Marchbank to cover Weiters

To be honest I’m amazed we haven’t given three ruckmen a go.

Might need a new thread…

I don't think Marchbank would be tall enough to play on Darcy or Jamarra, nor is Kemp, nor is Gov. Young will have to do.
Weiters should be right. Problem is corkies are a regular occurrence. So regular I am suss. Ive looked at his hits and they can be described as manufactured....if you know what I mean.

He should have some custom made pads made for his already huge thighs. It will look ridiculous, but as long as its effective, who cares.

I'm a fan of a fit Marchbank, but have to admit, he has looked like he's put on too much upper body weight and his arse has grown, or his shorts are baggier. Agree he looks slower than last year.

I'm fully expecting Collingwood to play a selection "surprise" by pushing Darcy Moore forward. Those quads are going to explode like ripe watermelons.

Surely Moore wouldn't stoop so low as to disable an opponent with a well placed knee!?!

Hey kezza. Got the family coming over from SA and GA went very quickly. Booked tickets last Monday and they’d already sold.

Next best was $60 and $65 for front few rows of Level 3 and now they’ve also gone, so all that’s left are single priority seats at around $200.

You can still get $27 standing room tickets. Just go to AFL on the search bar and it will have a seperate game option for these tickets.

No No No. Not Moore. He is a beautiful human being. A good kid who has grown up to be a great leader of men. Nothing but praise for him and his family. I went to uni with Peter. No I'm not a lawyer. Couldn't stand studying law....had to make the change in first year...something to do with the types I didn't want to spend the rest of my life with day in day out. I have a lot of great mates who are lawyers so theres some diamonds amongst that rough. I hope you become one of those braithy. You've made a good start; you barrack for Carlton.

I'm off to Canberra...catch youse all on the weekend. Go Blues

I can't think of anyone that deserves a big win on a milestone game more than Cripps.

Have resorted to standing room tickets so I don't miss this.

Real contenders will Reset and Go Again.

As Vossy said post game.....

"We’ve spent a hell of a lot of time on what our identity looks like and we’ve got enough experience to know what we value and what’s really important to us.

"The reality is we drifted away from that and when pressure comes, that’s what we go back to, that’s our fallback point".

Mindset, Mindset, Mindset. What would a good team do?

As Robbo said on 360 on Monday night....

“They’ve achieved nothing yet, this Carlton team. Absolutely nothing.

“They’ve got some great players, they’ve got some good players. Great players win premierships, truly great players win multiple premierships.

“They’ve done nothing this mob and I think this is a reminder for the players … to say: ‘Hey, the red carpet is not just laid out for you every week to turn up and say ‘we’re more talented, we’ll do it.’

“It’s a mind game. So what happened? They probably thought they had it over the line.”

Regards Cazzesman

Cheers. I also checked over the weekend and there were a few tickets for $65. Only tickets left now are $250 on level 2. I am wondering if
GA tickets ever went on sale. Has anyone here been able to buy one?
I ended up getting standing room tickets. I am hoping I will be able to get up on level 3 and sit in the GA area. Not sure how thoroughly the tickets are checked up on the top level. Anyway, it is going to be a big crowd. If I have to stand so be it, it is actually a good spot to watch from.

Is it really $250 to go to the footy now? I haven’t been since the EF in 2013 and I reckon that cost $80.

Do you get to sit in Vossy’s lap for $250?
