Reasons for revenge, part #2:

1988 PF - we played crap in the first quarter, but we were the better team after that. The wind seemed to change direction in their favour after every break and they definitely got the rub of the green with the umpires. Ricky Jackson and Jamie Duursma…seriously? :mad:

At least they were exposed as pretenders the following week.

1994 & 2000 QFs - on both occasions, we were the better team during the season but they were the better team on the day. Bradley didn’t play in either game. The 2000 one particularly hurt as we were a seriously good side but had injuries to key players late in the year, plus we had our chances to put them away before 3/4 time.

1998 - 2 point loss at home.

2001 - 6 point loss at home (we were top 4 at the time, they were bottom 4).

2003 - heartbreaking loss at home in the ‘Vale Vin Waite’ game.

2004 - 105 point loss.

2005 - humiliated in our last game at Princes Park.

2018 - 109 point loss.

2022 - round 22. :twisted:

I can’t recall that specifically, but Ronnie was prone to doing that (bless him) so I’ll take your word for it.

Indeed, all those losses were awful. For me '88 and '94 were the most galling of all for obvious reasons - GFs missed. The latter one a symptom of a dumb-arse finals system when we shouldn't even have played the flogs. Should have been us v North, a home Preli and see ya later! But don't forget folks, what hasn't been mentioned in this thread is the greatest come-uppance of all... The modern Carlton Football Club began when WE stole their best player, Captain and 6 time Premiership player and made him OUR COACH! Ronald Dale Barassi. and Our glorious Carlton supremacy era began. Deep down inside they are still bleeding about it - believe it. They didn't win another flag after Barassi left for 56 years! so @#$%&! 'em. We win. P.S. they Cannot be ranked in 'most hated' status with the Filth and the Scum. They simply don't rate.

Yeah. IMHO, 3rd place has to go to Richmond. Worst incident I ever had at a game was getting king-hit from behind by a Richmond thug while I was sitting in my seat at Princes Park in front of the John Elliot stand. My witticisms had kept the faithful amused but not this prick. Little old lady behind me started laying into him with her umbrella: "you leave him alone!" Security hauls his arse out. 2nd generation retard from the ones we grew up against. @#$%&! Richmond @#$%&! their retard supporters. Definitely 3rd ranking on the Carlton hate list.
