Ugh. Won't be watching that again, but it's a win, and the Richmond draw means % won't matter. Hopefully won't play on a field like that again this year.

We don't know for sure that % won't matter. Plenty of footy still to be played. Could well be more draws and then it may be a factor.
Even if no more draws, who's to say % won't separate us and tiggers. Could be difference between 4th and 5th or 8th and 9th.
We won but gee we still have a lot of work to do.

It was the beanie that did it, I should have kept it on all game, it made things worse in the third quarter.

I'm having a look at it - I'm curious to see the style of football we could have been playing. Saints 5.4 Dons 0.0 still in 1st qtr.

I agree however I think the umpires was our best today. From memory we were gifted 3 lucky goals.

apart from the kicking for goal, I thought it was a really good win. Acres was gone in the first with that shoulder but kept going. Hewitt's hand looked tender but he kept going. Charlie having a dog of a day but he kept going. Cripps and Doc were awesome but I also thought the two kids were really good. An ugly win but also...ahm...brave....

2 more things....

When was the last time T. Greene had 5 disposals and zero impact on a game?

L.Obrien can spend his remaining days in the vfl.
I've been a defendant of his over the years but today was the icing. Half arsed efforts, shirking any contact, ridiculous turnovers.

Kennedy would've made a big difference today

More credit and love for Ollie Hollands. Not much of him but doesn't shirk an issue.
Also Jessie Motlop was very clean.

10 point victory.

We more than any other team enjoy trying to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory. It wasn't to be on this occasion.

So we failed to fail?

Pretty pleased we got the win, over the last ten plus years we lose that game.

Some players really lifted near the end.

McGovern waa terrific, Fisher who earlier was very poor competed repeatedly in the last.

Kicking was off (field and goal) but we got there.

Special mention to Acres for playing injured. Was a mighty effort.

He can take his mate Fisher with him. Horrible.
Very frustrating game to take the kids to watch but we
found a way to get it done.Jacob W very indecisive with his disposal today.
Newman and Saad good .Gov working into the season well.
