I’ll put my hand up to say I was one who said we should have taken Richards instead of O’Brien - I’m not totally sold on O’Brien yet - because I threw my toys out of the cot when he kicked it out on the full in the last quarter - but he made other huge plays

Uwotm8? They were jizzing themselves over us. The Bennett/Nathan Jones combo is awesome. Even Jobe was really sensible with his 'special comments'. Going to miss this and going back to derwayne or BT and brayshaw.

I had him in my multi too, the only one that didn't get up.

He looks good but he really needs to step up when it counts. I really could have used that win

A few concerns but such a great win based on the opposition.

A heap of positives and only a few negatives.

Positives
Cripps
Hewett
Kennedy
Pitto
Silvagni
Goals to tall forwards
Gov good again
Typically weaker players stepping up
Playing away in navy blue
2-0 with plenty of improvement
Oh and Walsh, I never would have thought he'd be back so soon
Cerra and Martin to come in

Negatives
Saad wasn't great, move on
Not enough goals from small forwards
Charlie in particular lacked forward pressure, seems a little off when the play doesn't come to him. Nice to see improvement in someone that kicked 5 though
Collective choke towards the end. We were lucky
Weiters down on form
TDK average

Is that corral then tackle on filthy ginger Richards the play that will make #4 believe he belongs? Clearly his best single 'play' for our club.

Absolutely.

You could see us collectively shit the bed in the last quarter, we must have so much PTSD from all the games we’ve lost from winning positions. Getting a win in a game like that will do wonders for our confidence and self belief

That was an incredible victory and it tells me we are BACK!!!
Make no mistake, the bulldogs were desperate for a win and threw everything at us. Our midfield matched it with them, even though they got on top in the 2nd half, they had to come and we held our nerve. Add Cerra and Martin next week - beautiful..

Anyone complaining about that win should take a good hard look at themselves.

Bulldogs are an elite unit. We haven’t done ANYTHING until this years.

It was a mature win and we weathered the storm.

Proud of the boys.

Hi standard game
First half was the best we have played for a long time
We were lucky they missed all those shots in the last
Intensity overall is so much better
Good to have an 11 day break

2-zip. I like! But…

A god awful last quarter.

And an excellent learning opportunity for us, let's hope we use it wisely.

Winning games we should have lost is much better than losing games we should have won.

Wouldn’t say that’s a game we should have lost… Dogs would have stolen one if they got up. We should have been more than 6 goals up after our first half dominance. Umps kept them in the game early

There’s a bit to say about fatigue in the shots they missed. That early lead meant they had to work their arses off to get back into the game so heavy legs were always going to be a factor.

Anyway flower the Bulldags, we won

I'm so incredibly proud!

This was such a great win.

They threw everything at us in that second half and fatigue played a part in them missing goals so I'm not even calling it good luck. We held our nerve and stuck to our plan and kicked just enough gaols against the flow after dominating in the first half.

Kennedy was immense in the last quarter. A true hero.

Not convinced.
We still haven’t beaten anyone above us on the ladder…
