Whateley is of the type where to know him more is to like him way less. No doubt we will be competitive again. If SPS had kicked straight we just might have won against cats. Stick that up your suit coat Gerard! Gerard who??? |

I'm with Mick. Inside mids need good lateral movement, strength, great hands. Cripps hasn't got loads of straight line pace, neither has Josh Kennedy or Cunnington, or our Kennedy too. Jack is not lightening quick but he is not treacle either. Maybe he could be like swans Kennedy. Ordinary half fwd gun midfielder. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk |

Silvagni in the mix. You know after every feature article there's a selection into the ones. Jack as a reinvented inside mid/ forward. I really hope and believe he's made of the right stuff. May takes a few years. He's only 20. |

And for anyone fretting about Weitering or McKay for that matter, did you happen to catch Matthew Scarlett’s speech at the HOF dinner? He basically said that he hardly played a seniors game in his first 2 yrs, played every game in his 3rd year but didn’t feel he belonged at AFL level until his 4th season. Patience. We are building. A bit like the Demons but 3-4 years behind, and now need to add the midfield grunt and find a good ruckman for the next 10 years... |

Nothing surer than the Blues winning this game. Or losing to a garbage umpire decision in the last 5 min. |

Stick that up your suit coat Gerard! And yet I’ve heard Mr Used-To-Be-A-Good-Bloke-But-Isn’t-Anymore Whateley argue many a time how important it was that clubs down the bottom got their share of high exposure games lest they find sponsors etc dropping off. |

I’m a Sydneysider so I know the ground well. It’s a nice venue for footy from a viewing perspective because it’s small but it’s a stupid ground because it’s so short and the 50m arcs are barely 50m. I think there was a time they painted the 50m arcs at about 47m. Food’s rubbish, eat at Entertainment Quarter before (and it’s expensive either way) Great pastries at Black Star Pastry. |
