Teams are paying little respect to Seb Ross. He and Steven are the architects in the Saints midfield and must be limited.

Dylan Roberton is in All Australian form at HB and like Marchbank reads the play very well. Can't just bomb the ball to him.

Very important game this one. We can't put in a poor showing.

A lot of focus will be on the Saints speed. If we try and match them in this area we will get smashed.
Need to slow them down to give our defenders a chance.

I'd give us a chance if this was at the MCG. But cant see us getting close at ES.. thats ok, another small hump in the road unfortunately. We just need a good showing.. no blowout.

I just hope that if we aren't successful, we don't lower our colours too much on a dry deck against a quick team, and give the usual suspects another excuse to jump off the bandwagon and demand blood.

We will be competitive if we bring our best game. Hanging out till Thursday's team announcement.

This.
Unfortunate for them but horses for courses.
I'd bring in Buckley down back and move Simpson to the wing.
Anybody quick in the midfield. BB, Cunningham, Pickett (although he apparently hasn't been doing a lot in the twos)

The need for speed next week is the big one. Hope Cuningham has a blinder tomorrow.

Absolutely right. The Saints will cut us up for pace at Etihad but the question is who can we bring in to rectify that who deserves a shot and who goes out. I thought Graham and Kerridge, Smedts who didn't set the world on fire, maybe one of the talls in defence (Rowe?), Thomas even though he played well and perhaps White could all be under pressure. Silvagni J should come back in, perhaps Fisher also. Quicker types in the seconds should be keen to impress - Armfield, Boekhorst, Buckley, Cuningham, Pickett, perhaps Polson or Sumner or even Gallucci and Sheehan though the last 4 probably need more miles in the legs.

This could be a real insight into whether the Match Committee wil go horses for courses and bring in more speed or stick with minimal changes.

I should have read this before my previous post.
Could have saved myself the trouble.

The Saints aren't that quick. Stevens is though, and he has always set the tone against us. Curnow is our most important player this week.

Based on his NB game I would replace Kerridge with Cunners.

If SOJ is ready then maybe White out.

I'd be very surprised if White was dropped.

Unfortunately Smedts had a poor game. So did Kerridge (does not play well in the wet).

So Smedts and Kerridge out. Maybe its time to give Willo a break.

Ins from:

Fisher
Silvagni
Cunningham
Boekhorst
Jones (after another impressive game)
Macreadie

We're going to have to put a stopper on Stephen Milne, was very good against GWS.

Wait...sorry, I mean Leigh Montagna. I ALWAYS GET THOSE TWO MIXED UP

Yes. He plays an important role for us.
Can't see Buckley coming in yet. Can see Cunningham for Smedts or Kedge.

Completely agree.

Tough, competitive and damn fast...and kick a goal or two.

Must be stopped.

BB will be focussed on similar tactics to stop the run from HB and through the corridor
