Unfortunately, certain posters would jump at the opportunity to slag off our 1995 premiership team.
It's been interesting to follow....

I haven't seen the interview. Kouta doesn't strike me as someone who would make a good coach from a strategic perspective but he may offer insight into conditioning. If there was no role for him then so be it.

The 2010 illness could not be defined by doctors, and Koutoufides recovered largely because of one of his major loves in life: Fitness.

He embraced Herbalife as a product, which helped rediscover drive, which helped him launch Kouta Fit Club, a community-based program which teaches health and fitness..

“I really did struggle physically,’’ he said. ‘’You sort of feel almost invincible as a footballer and I was genetically blessed and all that, but I was ill and I couldn’t get out of bed.

“I didn’t know what he was.’’

He didn’t spruik the product, but herballife changed his life, in the sense that Koutoufides deals with normal people with normal problems.

“In some ways, I’m loving this maybe even than what I loved footy,’’ he said. ‘’ I have something I totally love and that’s helping people get healthy.’’

There you go kids - if you're depressed don't worry about health professionals. Just call Kouta and Herbalife!

I've had the good fortune to bump into Kouta at a few restaurants (Greek ones  ) over the past few years and he was always up for a chat and a family photo, with the kids etc.

But the conversation was always steered around to his new lifestyle and what he's doing now (ie Herbalife), so he never missed a chance to promote it.

I agree he would have been/still could be a great conditioning coach at CFC. Could be a great mentor for the Northern Blues team too. Perhaps Kouta could consider doing a degree at Vic. Uni to improve his chances for employment at an AFL club? (if he hasn't already...)
I believe he would have a great deal to offer, and especially now he has tasted both ends of the spectrum with success and failure. Perhaps he will know the value of what true success is, and how to go about keeping inner stability when the inevitable rough times come.

Rocky Balboa wasn't bright either, but even he was able to land a job at a local Abattoir...

Some of Kouta's best work was with JE on those podcast they used to do.
I found it compulsory viewing

The best thing about open mike is you get an
Insight into what the persons really like
Kouta not a bad bloke bit thick
Too much emphasis on earning a buck
Did his best to plug his business
Some blokes have no idea of their
Limitations would of been the worst coach of
Any sort
Did like what he said about Pagan
What a flower flog he was
At least Denis is now in an industry that suits him
A real estate agent or as I call them based on
Personal experience
cauliflower
