Gee easing Patrick Cripps back into it.

He's going to have to do all the mid-field heavy lifting without Gibbs and Murphy.

I don't think the boys are going to acquit themselves as well as the girls did in their last game at Princes Park.

Wouldn't be surprised if its a repeat of last year's smashing by Essendon*. Since we were soundly beaten with our senior group last week, than you'd expect far worse without them.

Probably not super smart of the club to plan our 'weaker' squads 2 years in a row for the home game. I presume they actually want Carlton supporters to come along. Although the summer secrecy may suggest otherwise.

Looking forward to seeing Jaksch and some of the draftees we haven't seen yet.

I just heard Palmer say that on CFC website.

I think the players have been told: Energy and intensity.

Looking forward to see the kids to strut their stuff.

No major long term injuries please. These pre-season games where the results mean nothing always worry me with the potential for injuries to our core 22 players.

We must be getting near the 10th anniversary of the great Pagan coached dual premiership side of the mid 2000s

Most interesting game, this.

Lets us see which kids have the instinct to make an impact and which kids are just passengers.

No doubt this is his big chance to prove he belongs in AFL.

There's spots open for forwards IMO.

I'm expecting him to show his wares as a KPF , possibly to compliment Harry McKay.

I just hope there will be enough supply from the mids.

I was thinking the same.

I believe he was recruited to added depth but more importantly to help the kids adapt to AFL footy and teach them the ropes; and there's plenty of kids.

If the 3rd JLT game is closer to the squad to play in round 1, I can't see him being selected.

They could fit him in on the extended bench next week.

True

Can't wait to see Polson Fisher Pckett and Cuningham show they belong and add to our midfield needs. Fingers crossed.

And, a bit more of what LeBois can do will be fantastic. So much good said about him since the Draft.

The kids is what its about in the preseason comp for me...given we are a cellar dweller on the rise.

Super excited about Williamsons prospects.
