Pathetic, gutless and shit skills from the team as a whole.
They couldn't beat that rabble even when they couldn't get a touch of the football.
Our foot skills are so shit in front of goal we are just throwing opportunities away and even at the death when cool heads were needed and a bit of system, they just kept doing what has lost them games every week and bombed it long.

Anybody who thinks that last quarter counts for anything is delusional. We are in serious trouble and any amount of love and player involvement from the coach can't make a shit game plan look good. It needs a massive overhaul, especially since it is defence based. Any team defence that lets Brisbane score 7 in a quarter is doing something very wrong.

They waited almost three quarters to run the ball. Buckley first and then Simpson, Touhy and Boekhurst but it was too little too late. When they start off like that they are a different team. Why Bolton has them playing kick and mark/turnover football amazes me. I watched the Dogs and Collingwood last night and we are a mile behind both of them in the style of football we play.

Kreuzer is shot.
3 kicks, two ineffective
One mark
Five frees against
One dropped mark that led to a goal.
Not many handballs I can remember
A few hitouts against a basketball player.
Worst game he has played for us for the year. Maybe longer. Get rid of him. Tell everybody he is injured to save face.
Weitering looks injured in the trunk.
Cripps is going to end up crippled.

I am not happy with any team aspect of that debacle. A few individual plusses and that's it.
Melbourne could well beat us by 60 points next week.

And 67 of them were long bombs to a huge pack.
Opposition defensive coaches go on holidays the week before they play us.

If only we could genetically bio-engineer a cross-breed of Weitering's brain into a Fevola's body ...

That's as sensible a suggestion as anything I've seen from the match committee.

That was up there with the worst of the previous few years. Brisbane are a rabble but at least they have skilled young talent who can execute. We have barely started to rebuild. I drew a line through Bokeheurst and Kreuzer. We can not trade Thouy or go near the GWS deal

Blue Sombrero for coach, he knows more from his lofty position in Mehico than the experts paid to do the job.

On the other hand, Keogh, you were wrong.

Pros:

Started well. Fantastic 2nd half.
Cripps.
SOJ.
Tuohy.
Buckley. Best game I've seen him play.

Cons:

Awful 1st half.
Accuracy.
3 dropped uncontested marks about 20 metres out from goal.
Kerridge tries hard. And he's obviously going to play a lot over the next 5 years. But he makes some absolutely awful mistakes.
Jones competed really hard for a half. But made some absolutely awful mistakes.

We simply are a product of our past and today we had 8 to 10 players who won't be there or won't be getting a gamein a couple of years.
We have recruited hi year
Plowman
Sumner
Phillips
Gorringe
Kerridge
Lamb
Wright
This year
Clearly the list was so poor that to stem the bleeding they recruited bodies that had a few pre sasons under their belt
If we had gone completely with youth we would get flogged every week
All these blokes probably wouldn't get a game in a premiership team except maybe for Phillips because he is a ruckman having his first real decent crack at it
Ruckman take longer to mature

Yes there have been some absolute howlers we are paying the price for
Thomas
Jones
Kreuzer
Jaksch
Whiley
Tutt
White
Dick

Eventually these guys will be gone. That's about a third of our list
Add Simpson Armfield maybe Gibbs an Murphy with age

The list is ever changing but at least we are competitive compared to last year
We must and I mean must now recruit young talent
If we recruit kids in the next 3 to 4 years and have a 50% strike rate we will be back

Any more recruiting of recycled garbage would be the dumbest decision on the planet
Silvangi
Curnow C
Weitering
Cripps
Give me hope we can get back up there

We have made significant progress from the pits of last year

It will take about 3 to 4 years at the earliest before we are a serious finals side
But only if Silvangi can recruit good kids
That's the key otherwise we are [REDACTED] for the next decade

I thought White competed pretty hard as well. Although his awful mistake in the 1st quarter got the opposition going.

Kreuzer got 14 touches, 10 kicks. did better than you thought I saw/heard nothing during the first half but listened to the 2nd half on the way home. Heard his name quite alot. So i'm guessing his first half was very bad. Phillips got 5 touches.

We really do need to drop a ruckman. As we've seen Casboult is twice the player when he has key position help, even if Jones was shit, and can move around more without 3 defenders on him. Will do even better if he can get a run on the ball and grab some marks around the ground as it suits him. Dropping a ruckman means we can pick another runner. The change in mobility would be alot.
