Always liked walker as a player - gave us some terrific highlights. Unfortunately is more injured than not these days and would understand his decision. Having said that - the better option is for him to stay and recapture the fitness to be a great forward whilst the kids develop

for all those above having a go at me about walker retiring - just think about the fact that for 21 years we have not won a Premiership and Hawthorn are going for 4 premierships in a row

if that fact alone does not motivate any Carlton supporter- they are too emotional about their players rather than ruthlessly hunting for success of our club.

rant over :smoking:

Not sure why the need the feel/be ruthless has any @#$%&! thing to do with being happy about a player retiring. Seriously you need to get a grip about this need to be ruthless because me thinks you'll be pissed about something else when we win a Premiership.

thats nonsense. stop trying to control peoples thoughts - if a fan forum is a thought control forum please let me know

walker has had a great run and yes he has given us good moments - walker has made a million or so from our memberships so the deal has been consumated

lets all move on and get a premiership

Good player who's body just let him down in the end. I enjoyed watching 1AW. Will always be a navy blue, so respect!

i hope he does retire for his sake. he has been a wonderful servant of the club, but is clearly not able to physically do what he once did

I have loved watching him, and would hate for him to languish in the 2's and then get delisted - he needs to go on his own terms and when he can still use his legs to teach his kids how to kick and jump all over Essendon* players

Walker, Smith, Jones we are running pretty thin on indigenous players.

Oh for another one or two Sydney Jackson's - the greatest indigenous footballer of all time!
