I might get blasted for this, but the other name to talk about right now in terms of 'weak links' is Charlie Curnow.

Nope, happy for him to stay in. I reckon we're playing him a bit too far up the ground but I'm liking his development.

He's playing just two-thirds of the possible minutes. Between him and the rucks, that's arguably 40+ minutes of bench minutes that could be used to relieve the smalls, not to mention the extra run provided by another midfield player.

Not questioning his talent, just he's not demanding the footy enough to be up front. Neither is Buckley mind you, but Buckley can free wheel in space from flank to flank and create for us.

Possibly no change this week - unless they are keen to get Armfield and/or Walker in, which might see Buckley and/or Lamb dropped.

Personally, I would bring KJ in for one of the ruckmen or Jones - but I doubt it'll happen.

And it won't be this week, but at some point Tuohy's spot could come under question. Particularly if Dick keeps playing well in the VFL.

Why would you drop Jones? Just want to crush any confidence he has?

I agree re Buckley - he never stopped presenting and chasing. Not the most polished but the harassing and effort was there all day - a few to go before him.

Have been critical of Buckley on telly but he was pretty good today.

Lamb was strong today .

No shirkers in the game from either side. Glad Everitt wasn't selected, it wasn't the day for conditional footballers.

Kreuzer's capacity to jump and hold marks in the forward line or anywhere really must be causing some concern within the coaching group. The MC will probably stick with him for a bit longer and hope that he runs into some form.

Would have been an even better game if he got a fair go from the maggots, he was reamed.

I can remember them recovering very well after an Anzac Day match

That's because they cheated, it's as simple as that.

I'm not sold on Lamb but he offers more than bucks who I can't see lasting much beyond this season

Walker if fit enough should play in the two's this week to find some touch. Ditto Everitt. Casboult is a disaster in front of goal but a much more effective player up the ground. For this week I lean towards dropping Kreuzer for either Jaksch or Armfield. Phillips is pretty green but probably has more upside now than Kreuzer. It's a hard call and as I mentioned above I think they'll give Matty a few more chances. It may not be too many weeks before SOJ starts to come into serious consideration. He will add something different in the forward line. Can't happen soon enough for mine.

I thought I explained it well enough?

I would keep Phillips ahead of Kreuze as much as it pains me to say it
