Bulldogs not great tonight but we out did them with our poor disposal

We made them play like that. That's the improvement in our group, team defence, I've been hearing it the past month that the other team played poorly, it's rubbish.

Bulldogs are only average.
Yes, but are in the top 8 with and 8-5 record. Equal with Collingwood and Richmond, and a game off top 4.

Was just going to say, "How the hell are they 7th!?"

Still think they're average.

Was a very ordinary game.

Too wasteful in the second quarter.

Thought we let ourselves down in the second half. We were pretty woeful. Doggies clearly on top.

Looking forward to watching them live next Friday night. Hopefully Walker, Gibbs, Menzel, Rowe all back next week. Their efforts in the past few weeks have been great. Hope they bring that next Friday. Tiges may have a couple missing after the events of today. Skill errors so costly as they sap confidence in the deliverer and receiver for the next opportunity.

We've definitely improved. Tonite was just some horrible skill errors at crucial times. That Levi and Big Cam effort will live long in the memory.

Soooooo frustrating.
Application good. Talent level too low. More frustration like this to follow until we get more talent.
Curnow butchered it tonight. Forwards butchered it tonight.
I am now prepared to do the right trade for Yazz.
Two down in last quarter didn't help.

From about halfway through first quarter to half time killed us, so much effort and ball for so little reward.

Plus Doc who was in the votes last week. Hopefully Andre gets up also. We missed him in the second half tonight.

Been willing to give Tutt a go, thought he'd had some useful games earlier on but he was absolutely pathetic tonight

Mates I go to the footy with have been labelling him the leader of the new breed of f@@kin brothers, I must say his first name coming out of my mouth often tonight wasn't the one his parents named him with

Less than 50% efficiency by foot apparently.
We played one quarter of footy and two minutes at the end and lost by less than two kicks.
We have to persevere with who we have for a few weeks.
It will be interesting to look at the possession count of:
Johnson
Boekhurst
Holman
Tutt
I would venture to suggest that none of them had any influence on the game at all. By stark contrast, the sub from the Dogs had about fifteen possessions in a quarter and a bit of footy in his first game.

We were always going to struggle given the outs.

Kreuzer and Wood looked to have won the hitouts but we lost the clearances, which tlls its own story.

Cripps had a good patch in the second but was otherwise invisible. Understandable for one so inexperienced but Murphy went back to his MM form and had a shocker.

Yarran is a shadow of himself. Not ONE bounce for the game, even when we were running it in the first half. I will be very surprised if he is at the joint next year. And the way he is playing we won't miss him. We can watch him shredding teams week after week somewhere else.

Buckley was a positive in the forst half and Armfield's attack on the footy. 2-4 and one OOB for the night is not a bad return.

Casboult's timming was off for most of the night or something. The fact it went into the F50 about 11 times n the entire second half didn't help his game.

Hendo was very animated at the end.\ when we needed two goals in a minute and a half. I think that's a sign he might stay.

Bad kicking when we were dominating probably cost us the game but it wold have been robbery had we won. The kids tried and tired. Back to reality this week. Maybe five wins for the season is the best we can hope for and that should give us pick three or four.

We didn't lose the game because we wasted our chances in the second qtr, we lost because we were terrible in the 1st, 3rd and last qtr, don't blame the 2nd qtr.

Came out after half time with absolutely no run, no energy and couldn't get it done .

Bad fitness also leads to poor disposal.

In the end we still only lost by a goal and a half which is a credit to our structures.

Backline was good and 2E was immense.

Played tonight due to injuries and not because they played well enough to 'earn' their spot. Always a worry but no choice with Menz, Carazzo, Walker, Doc, Gibbs, etc not available.

You said it and we can't get the game back to play it over again. That kind of thinking is probably one of the club's problems.
