Would prefer we do as well as we can the rest of the year and not get the spoon. There isn't an advantage to getting the spoon as there were when we had priority picks to get.

If we win the wooden spoon will kids in TAC cup start tanking to avoid being no 1 pick? (Assuming we don't use it on some untried West Aussie).

Any Western Aussies on here that can report back on 'out of form over aged 1/2 back flankers' playing in the lower tiers of the WA leagues? Preferably players that have switched across recently from other sports or countries. Ideally there would be a Congolese table tennis guru running the water for the Bunbury 3rd's?

Do they still have end of first round PP's (for 20 points or less). we must qualify for that..

Pick 1, 19, 20 ... or pick 2, 20, 21 ... not sure it will make much difference. And provided no one else gets one.

We could try and get ourselves another top 20 pick from a trade or a trade/pick upgrade.

Get ourselves 4 top 20 picks and some good fresh talent, followed by father sons for Rice and SOS depending on their demand.

Ok
So we couldn't beat Brisbane, and we got thrashed by GWS.

No problem.
We need to focus on causing an upset against the suns and dees.

if we can overcome the odds and beat those two mighty teams, and then maybe snare a fluke win somewhere along the line ... we should be safe from the spoon.

If you're going to finish low, it may as well be bottom. At least it gives you more leverage with the PSD and first pick in the draft.
let's face it, our days of avoiding the embarrassment of the spoon are well past us.
We've got lots of other stuff to be embarrassed about.

Top 5 picks are all the same. There are stars and there are duds.

If there is another Kruezer Cup situation I want us to win.

Agreed. We could have got Thomas instead of Murphy.

With some kind of relative who's played for someone.... That's mileage

I don't rememebr any Gibbs Cup. There was a Kreuzer Cup.

Look back at that 2006 Draft. What a stinker.
Gibbs at 1 Boak at 5 Selwood at 7 Gray at 55 and Westoff in the 70s probably still the top 5 and Gibbs def at 5 or 6

Riewoldt Frawley and Armitage next best

Boak, Selwood, Gray, Westoff, Riewolt>>>>>>>Gibbs

Wasted pick
