I don't think we need to sack the coach, nor do we need to gut out our list.
Today, and the last two games are the direct result of years of mismanagement and terrible decisions, starting from the boardroom down. This is the reason for today's display on the MCG, and sacking the coach, or gutting out the list will only give the appearance "somethings being done" when in actual fact it sends us back to square one, ie. the last $#@! 20 years over and over.
It hurts like all buggery, but we've got a plan and we have to stick with it until it works. We are not going to change our board, those same folk will be there year after bloody year whether we like it or not. And if we call for scalps they'll happily oblige, as long as its not theirs, and give the supports the blood they are screaming for. THIS IS NOT CHANGE! (sry for the caps, but I want this to be clear)
The board will sack Malthouse, and those calling for blood will feel a sense of satisfaction, that their being listened to. But this is a ruse / stratagem in itself. The board still stays, nothing changes, just different replacement faces for you to point the stick at and scream "get rid of him!"
How many years are we going to ride this merry-go-round?
I know how easy it is to call for the chop. Watching todays shambles was embarrassing, and I hate Essendon*** more than any other club in the competition. I truly hate them so much, I can lose a final and bow out for the year and still reflect "at least we beat Essendon***"

So todays loss really cuts deep, and I want to scream and rant trade Gibbs, Sack Malthouse, blah blah blah.
We have to cop it on the chin and "stick fat" on this one, until we get it right. We have the media and the talking heads laying the boot in (as always) and they'd love nothing more than to see us gut our list, sack our coach and stay cellar dwellers for another 20 years. We've sacked coaches, got rid of players and we're still struggling. There is NO quick fix to this. We MUST stick with what we have and improve through hard work and shrewd decisions. This calls for a united commitment, something of which Carlton has lacked in spades for WAY too long now. We either make a plan (which we have) and commit to sticking to that plan, or we will continue to set ourselves back again and again whilst the people at the top hold their seats of power, ie. Nothing changes.
Right now, I want to nuke the entire club and start from scratch. Thats emotion talking. But if we as a club don't get our sh!t together real soon, I'm afraid we will be like Footscray and I'll next flag will be in 2065 or worse, South Melbourne and Fitzroy.
So I'm not falling for it. The media, the talking heads, the trouble makers and divisionists can bait all they want. Unless of coarse we could actually gut the boardroom, ooh watch me go then

but that's never going to happen, so lets support the coach and the boys.
I'm right behind Mick and the boys, keep at it, work hard until we get it right. GO BLUES!
I think you well get ravaged by the intelligent sack malthouse supporters for this.
You might even get banned.
