Should give Mick a one year extension. It will help with the rebuild.

if he didnt go to them.. and they went to him... whatever he told them... isnt important.. its what handle they had on the club that was...

but i also know as fact... a couple of weeks into season 1 he told them the list was [REDACTED]....(in a board meeting)

now i dont have the minutes.. but my source is pretty good.. because he was there

After he got the job. Surprising that he had no opinion of it before hand. Didn't he say the list was fine when he returned from the book launch?

I know you admire the way MM has looked after his own interests here, but it does strike me as he's taken the job for the wrong reasons.

So Mick didn't ask for Daisy?

Pelchen on 3AW was asked directly what players we'd have to offer up.

He said at least one of Murf, Gibbs or Henderson.

Personally, I would have thought Yarran would get a lot of sides excited.

If this is the case, surely mckay's position is untenable.

How many rebuilds do we need to experience before we actually build something???

Anyone not around in 66 games (ie too old) needs to go this year.

Lach is our only proven alf quality KPP. Jaksch is still potential. I get that Lach has value but the fact we have no other quality talls at all, means he has to stay for mine.

Kreuz, Walks, Jamo, Warnock (although we'll get nothing for him) up for sale.

If they plan to only have a 66 game rebuild (3 seasons) - does that mean Murph & Gibbs will be too old to contribute by then? If so, there's merit to trading them.

Anyone past their prime within 3 seasons is up.

The end result is keeping players who will be contributors and valuable ones by the end of rebuild.

turn off the lights.... were rebuilding for 66 games....

apparently 66 games sounds better than 3 years...

look on the bright side of this...

its less than the time we have watto developing to come good in the seconds.......

so in 3 years...... we should be where exactly???

has that been answered???

lol

this club cracks me up.....

I've said that to a few friends tonight.

Watch them do it.

It's all too convenient. Club will think it will make them look good selling a big name. When in actual fact it's just the easy way out cause he's out of contract.

Anyone not intended to be regular contributor in the senior team over the next 66 games needs to go this year:

Ellard, Warnock, Wood and Carrazzo. Maybe Armfield and Watson depending on how things go.

Under your criteria we'd be completely uncompetitive and we'd be back to 2006-2007 again.

Seriously, some people on here are perennial whingers.
Will never be happy whatever we do. Joke of a forum sometimes.

Quite a frank assessment by the judge. My gut feel is that it took a couple of rounds to twist the arms of certain Board members before he could go out and make it official that we are in rebuild.

Henderson is good but not many clubs would drool over him.
