Don't forget Docherty's OOF.

Funny how late errors get magnified. Our errors all night would fill a phone book.

Twice in the last 5 minutes they had guys standing unmarked right in the centre of their 50m.

And twice quick kicks - one from them and one from us - fell right on their chest.

Hard to believe. Under 9's stuff.

Me too.. The ultimate tank.
Plenty of development without the 4 points.

Happy with the effort.

Not happy with the unlucky result.

Docherty kick OOB proves he's not an elite kick.
I liked his game but I've seen enough to know he isn't the elite kick people rave about.
Casboult just couldn't hold them,
Thomas skills were C class.
Ellards kicking,

A lot of improvement left.
Skills are so important in this day and age,
In a defensive game every shot at goal counts.
Turnovers and bad kicking killed us.
Brocks pace nearly tore them a new one as sub

We lost it. Freo didn't win it. We kicked the ball to them for the winning goal. Period.

Go Blues.

A most entertaining match. Had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Freo @ home and we put in a good showing, put ourselves in a winnable position and in the end the better team won. All is not lost with our list. We just need some luck and everything falling our way a bit and we're in with a chance against the best of them. Really REALLY needed the team to put in a good showing for the rest of the season. I say good showing and taking matches right down to the wire, but if we lose those games, all of those games for the rest of the year, I won't mind all that much ;)

Great effort all 'round...but tonight's a perfect example of the deficiencies and what needs to happen going forward. Unfortunately we're hampered somewhat with bad contracts...carrying Carrazzo for ANOTHER year is painful...and far more painful than any 2014 loss. But there are some signs there that bode well for the future.

Good to get 0 points out of that one...save the 4 points for the Bombers....

I thought Johnson did some goods things, including that dive and handpass that led to a goal.

Malthouse has a plan and it is working.......slowly.

They are starting to play for him, the jumper and each other. Those who cannot get with the program will be moved on and going forward he will rebuild this side.

This was a top four side, with a double chance finals spot on the line, with apparently the best coach at home........full strength.

We had three major outs after the Roos game with Kruezer and Cripps still to come.......glass half full.

8 qtrs of solid football in a row.

Not surprised we couldn't hang on v flag contender away with so many limited players running around.

We are poorly drilled when it comes to doing the right thing to hold on to a lead in dying minutes. Cost us games all year.

Probably tanking.

The tactics (eg switching ) by MM were very good. Freo did not like that at all.

I reckon Docherty will be a star but that is the second game he has cost us (with a little help from his friends) this year with a turnover.

Best game from Daisy though. 115 dream team points.

Showed we can match it with the best of them.

Four points would have done us more bad than good.

Perfect result.

2014 has been long cooked, still a bit guttered with tonight's loss. Feeling bullish about 2015, though.

Kade Simpson! :smoking:
