Great win. Was so sure we'd get overrun again, but found the kicking boots in that last quarter. We seem to have a competitive group of talls for the first time in recent memory.

MVP is going to be a tough job as usual, but this time for the right reasons. Giibs, Murphy, Judd, Waite, Henderson, Wood, Rowe, Yarran, Simpson all deserve votes, and Cas and Curnow did better than several past vote-getters.

Just hope the injuries aren't too serious. Menzel and Everitt have been two of the biggest plus points this season; would be a shame if they couldn't finish the season strongly.

Only as good as your opposition lets you, but that I think was the best game ever from the Gibblet.

Finding it very hard to quantify the stupidity of McAvany's inane statements.

That was a really good game of footy to watch tonight.

Amazing how good our forward line is when the ball is blasted into the forward line at pace. So much run. Suddenly just so much space. Great to see such hard work at both ends of the ground.

Just like to know, where has this been all year?!!! That's as well as we've played since MM's been here. Only a horribly inaccurate 3rd qtr made the game close otherwise it's 7-8 goals.

Thought we would get run over after missing our chances in the third.

Happy to be wrong.

Hope the injuries aren't serious.

Seemed a pretty good four quarter effort.

Well done boys.

Don't think I've ever seen this much improvement in such a short time from any player in the history of the game.

If you replace him with Ellard, no; if you replace him with a witch's hat, yes.

Good game by Wood and I really hope he takes his late career opportunity but I have Collingwood supporting mates who've warned me about the Wood tease before.

Shows a bit then goes missing.

Might fit in well.

NORTH ARE SCRUBBERS.

Glad we beat them but they are so overrated by the footy spuds it makes me sick.

What odds that wood wood have more stats in 1 game then Warnock all season?

Some have been calling for him to get a run for quite a while.
No doubt he will play next week.
Warnock is useless. He played three or four good games in a patch but he is just an ungainly, useless giraffe overall.

They looked like a different team
Played completely different
Kept the ball chipped it around and look for options
Instead of blazing away

He was better against Geelong, but tonight he wasn't a one-man army.

Petrie usually kicks a bag against us. Rowe is a huge success story for us in a wasted year. Not sure how old he is but he has time to continue developing as a key defender.

solid performance around the ground, good win, hopefully a positive outcome doesn't get hijacked on this site by negative talk about missing a draft pick...

So why did you bring it up?

Only goal Petrie got was from a very soft, horrible free kick.

Why?

Because I misread the ladder. :donk:

Thought they still had a chance to make top 4. Doesn't look that way though.
