We have, for as long as I can remember had an almighty aversion to put injured players returning in the ressies. Not sure why we are so adverse but we play players who are unfit or lack match fitness because the seniors is where you want to play these guys.

Caldron does this more that anyone else. The fact that we are even discussion amid coming straight back in after playing 3 mins of football is @#$%&! laughable.

Geelong by 110pts.

Like mm said, we don't have the depth. Our Seniors playing on one leg, with one arm etc etc are infinitely more effective than the spuds in the reggies.

Carrazzo with one bad calf and unable to kick on his right foot, still gets to contests better than Graham or Cachia do.

This is why.

Until our list goes 30 deep like the good clubs (hawks, cats pies etc) we'll be in this position.

Everyone is raving about Port. And their best 22 are good But they have had a huge amount of luck with injuries. I'm guessing they cannot replace Boak or wingard shold they go down, and without those two, they'll lose more than they'll win.

I am not a gambler per se but I might put some money on Geel just to make a small profit

they barely got up mate. I dare say any other team other than maybe melbourne, us or the lions and port woulda got done.

Plus I said boak & wingard.

You can take 3 or 4 top players from the hawks, geelong and even pies and they'll win more than they lose.

Not surprised really.

I don't reckon I could even push one out.

Game of the year coming up. Geelong will be seething from Sydney's mauling, and Carlton will be typical in showing up against Geelong just to totally confuse and frustrate their fans. I expect this will be game of the year. Right down to the wire with Carlton walking away victorious yet strangely nonchalant.

Carlton by a goal or less ...

Only interest will be whether Geelong beats us by more than hawthorn given we panic every time we play hawthorn and usually 30 points behind at quarter time
I think the hawks will beat us by more

pissweak

only halfway through the season

as for confidence crushed - also pissweak - strut like champions after a victory , play like lazy millionaires - then lose and then claim confidence is crushed

these players are pathetic

Care factor for me is zero. Only interested in watching young players. Have to say Cats have injuries and are out of form - so who knows.

we should be going into the game with a killer mentality , one of redemption for our pathetic display against the bottom side.

we are coming up against a team that just got smashed by over 100 and were far from impressive the week before.

we should be going in confident and willing to fight to restore our own pride

but we wont....

we will go in lacking confidence after a loss and because we are wimps , scared of geelong breathing fire looking for their own redemption

its just utterly pathetic

Our game against Brisbane is the usual story, the bottom sides know they are playing Carlton.

It's there Grand Final, they know if they have a red hot crack our pea heart, fragile minded players will fold like a house of cards.

Plus 3 wins in a row, never going to happen, because by the third week our pea hearted fragile mental midgets will already be spending their million dollar contracts.

Think we'll show up more than we did against Bris (or Melbourne).
We come to play to the level we think we'll need to and do not pack one kilojoule of energy more.

Also, any chance McLean could fire a handball out at chest height and with enough force to reach the intended target?

Glad i paid extra money and upgraded to a seat. This is a fully ticketed game so no walk ups.
Could get ugly.

Do AFL members need to upgrade or will it be possible to scan in on the night?

We will play well here and win/go very close. It's what Carlton does.

Not sure about AFL members. All i know is that everyone has to have a designated seat. Non club members can buy a seat on level 3 for $25, which is the same cost as a general admission. Yet members who upgraded for the same seats have to pay an extra $8.50. Go figure.

Have you got a link re ticketing info, cheers
