Unless get a special freak talent taking a ruck with a pick in top 10 just horrible decision

Trent cotchin says hi

You just don't need to take rucks with top 10 choices

Look around the league most of the rucks were rookies or later picks

They take ages to develop , often disappoint and are easy to trade for at later date

Ed Curnow says hi to Trent Cotchin... he most overrated footballer in AFL apart from some of his teammates and some of our players

You can see how these two clubs have lost the plot.

One of he reasons I don't watch any football shows, they're all wankers.

..wrong, the reason some rucks are rated first rounders, is because they are good enough to start playing early on.. ..would lions give up leuey?, krooz was far better than crotch up until the blown knee and was the special talent you speak of, nicnat is special would eagles give him up even though Cox is still good and has been playing for five of nicnat years and a couple more to go if not more....?.. ..mcevoy left saints, but he was a captain candidate for their future and they did not want to see him leave.. ..grundy at pies slid down a few, but was worth late first round yes, they did well getting him a few spots late.. ..ryder was top ten from memory.. ..these days the kids are better and more afl ready, and not just mids but some kpps and rucks now too.. ..if you can get a quality ruck that can play a decade for you, you grab them and draft shows that clubs do this.. ..longer a ruck plays with the onballers the better they all get, it's consistency..

..edit.. ..the crotch has only played 4 more games..

Injury management is still in the dark ages in the AFL. There's so much pressure on blokes to play that far too many play under duress. It's unhealthy.

Given what the club has done to the kid since he started and especially since his knee injury it's a wonder that the ambulance chasers haven't been circling

Bloody oath it is. What's he going to do that will help us win a flag??? Much better getting time into kids like we did with Jacobs.

More short term mediocre thinking.

Drafting Cam wood is a smart move for a few reasons:
1 Cheap rookie pick for depth, who we know can play well at lower level as Bullant needs good ruck man to help our mids develop
2 Help resting injured ruck men for longer period. In this case it could be the different between resting Kruzer for a few weeks and pray that in heals by itself, or send him away to get proper longterm treatment (as we have a servile backup).

it could have easily have been dangerfield.. even if he wasnt playing.
the media really pumps up some blokes
nobody says these players are no good.. its just the pump is bigger than the feat

Pull the plug on Kreuzer now. I don't want to see him until 2015. Besides the injuries, this must be so detrimental to his confidence, how is he supposed to develop when he's constantly on again off again?

Kruezer loves playing football. His manager and family love him playing football. He wants to play every week.

The knee blowout he got landing awkwardly going for a mark at CHB. Had pain around the knee where tendon was grafted from in 2012 but played on. That playing on is something he really wanted to do. It has no bearing on the foot injury he has now. A foot injury that could happen to anyone.

He has been unlucky with injury. Gutsy to play on but playing on doesnt help anyone.

if hes playing with knee soreness and hip soreness.. he would alter his gate.. and that would make him stand differently on his feet maybe.

of course it has a bearing.

pain means the body is looking for a position to accomodate less pain.. which means u place pressure elsewhere
at 105 kilos thats his foot or a part of his foot

the amount of stupidity i hear when its obvious the guy isnt and hasnt been right for a long long time is astounding.

get the guys body right and let him lose a couple of kilos.

one of my favourite players at the club....one of the few who never cheats

I agree with maximum rest.
He could be critical for a successful rebuild given he is still so young himself.
