Nobody liked going there except Carlton fans and, as The Rhino has illustrated, even that's debatable, haha.

Yep... everyone hated it because the place was/is Carlton. They all bitched and moaned about having to play there which forced the AFL to buy out the contract... not sure where the love would come from now if it was re-built in some form or another.
To me, this place ceased to be the stadium I used to love the day they tore down George and the RHS. Now it's just a training base with history and any reincarnation would be meaningless, unless it was funded by us and solely for our use... never going to happen.
In saying that, my memories of this ground are priceless... it's a shame the coming generations will never experience it.
