For really popular events fire up IE, Firefox and Chrome. I know it adds to the server load but at least a timeout won't mean you miss out.

I've never had to bother since switching to the 'm' site but fair enough

Hi folks,

I am an AFL member and didn't realise that the tickets would sell out so quick. I guess the guest passes took them up. I have been tied up with work all day and was waiting to hear back from a mate who is also an AFL member (but supports another club). He got back to me tonight and then I realised that they were sold out.

So if anyone has a ticket to the game I would greatly appreciate it. I am just after one ticket as my mate and I will go to the other games. Please PM me as I don't get on here too often.

Thanks.

Yep.

AFL ‏@AFL 4h
500 tickets to Geelong v Fremantle, and 1200 tickets to Richmond v Carlton, will be released for sale 10am EST tomorrow morning #AFLFinals

Not that it really matters which one it is but:

Quote:
Patrick Keane @AFL_PKeane
Approx 500 further tickets for Rich v Carl this Sunday will be released for sale at 10am tomorrow, Sept 5, via all Ticketek channels.

Patrick Keane @AFL_PKeane
Approx 1,200 seats & standing room tickets for Geel v Frem on Saturday will be released for sale at 10am tmrw via all Ticketmaster channels.

I'd take Patrick Keane's tweets over the AFL's feed 90 times out of 100

True, but when questioned about Keane's tweets they stood by the 1200 number and referred to the MCG figures:

Melbourne Cricket Gd ‏@MCG 13h
The @AFL will release 1200 seats and standing room tickets to @Richmond_FC v @CarltonFC for public sale at 10am tomorrow via Ticketek.
Details

Seems strange the AFL and the AFL's Media Relations Manager are giving out conflicting information, but then again maybe we shouldn't be surprised.....

Either way, get in early guys.

I'm still sitting and refreshing the site - I can't get two tickets - bloddy frustrating. :hitcomputer:

Any love out there for 2 tickets [seating only as I have a breast cancer patient with me] would be great.
