We could lose and play finals. Terrible.

I'm happy to be the odd one out here and say I want to make the finals.

Should we lose to Port next week, it must be by a very small margin. Will then be nerve-racking watching the Crows/Eagles match, hoping for either a draw or a win to either team by a very small margin, due to the percentage situation.

Of course the filth would probably then let North win on the Sunday to go past us!!!!!!

Maybe it's just best if we win next week.

Won't win no guts better off just wait for trade period where we are linked to everyone and get no one
Pathetic effort from a mediocre side with mediocre management and a mediocre board
Get stuffed I'm sick of investing time in mediocrity
Second year in a row we are mediocre for god sake do something
Bring on the finals where good teams give their all and don't crack like the mentally weak

Good luck over there Doc. I went last year and almost got in a fight with a teenage girl.

Did you steal her babies dummie? :)

Any bets we will get close to winning (which has become the norm) and then that flog monfries will kick the winning goal only to be given an infraction notice by asada a week later. Adelaide will also beat West Coast, Kangas will beat Collingwood and we will end 11th.

Also if my memory serves me correctly since its inception Carlton have yet to win a Rd 23 match... and I'm not liking our chances of us rectifying this issue on Saturday :hitcomputer:

Personally, i'd be happy to have the opportunity to upset Collingwood's or Richmond's little red wagon.

Considering how bad we are it would be frightfully amusing.

That'd have to be a worry for the match commitee. 1/2 of our squad will be in trouble if she runs out for Port!

I won't say that I want us to lose. I never want us to lose.

But we don't deserve to play finals.

Farcical that we could lose, be 3 games outside the eight and get in by default.

Port comfortably.

I almost hope we lose this, and Norf beats Collingwood. That's how low I am right now.

As disappointed i am in how we threw that game away last night i will NEVER look to a game hoping we will lose it.

Whether we make the finals this year or not now means little to me , i would have been happy if we made it on our own merits, but i will be urging the boys on 100% to win next week.

GO BLUES!

We clearly do not deserve to play finals. We have dropped too many games we should have won.
And I do not want to get in just b/c another team is booted out.
However, I think we could benefit from the experience of a finals match...
And, I think we could actually win in the first week - I reckon we play well when we really want it and knocking out the Pies or Tigers is likely to bring the best out in us.

My worry, if that happens, is that it reinforces the prevailing attitude amongst the players that she'll be right b/c we'll land on our feet and can perform well whenever we want. The number of times I hear our boys (Murph and Gibbs in particular, come to mind) say we are disappointed in the loss but all we have to do is tweak a couple of things and we'll be right, as if it's all fine, now where can we go for dinner and a haircut...??

Our players used to seem like they cared a lot more. I can see the pain of defeat on the faces of Selwood, Hodge etc... SELWOOD... FFS who has won more games than just about any other player in the history of the game at his age!!!

Mick needs to get inside their heads. No amount of trading can fix that in one year. It is a cultural problem, first and foremost. It translates to skills as well. If you don't burn for success, you don't put everything in outside game time. I remember Diesel talking about the hours and hours of practise he'd put in. That is why our skills get worse in parallel with our poor on field performance.

Ok, I'm all over the shop like our team. Over and out.

Like the Melbourne tanking game. The club must select a side to lose this game

No changes

It would be highly embarrasing for this side to play finals. We need to lose this and hope Collingwood are preparing for the week after and lose to North.

We must not play finals

None of the teams outside the 8 deserve to get in. They've all been shit - North, Adelaide, WC.

How awesome would it be if we lose this game, Essendon* lose their points. We play Collingwood in the final and beat them like the Blues of old used to in finals back in the day!!!

I'm pretty upset about the loss last night so i'll do anything to feel happy again!

Norf deserve it much more than we do. I'm baffled that we're ahead of them.

Why would North deserve it more than us? They've been terrible this year.
