Well i reckon we should get Crazy Vossy now that he's available.
Assistant to MM.

Imagine him eyeballing Gibbs, Lucas, Yarran etc etc and telling them all to HTFU :fight: :fight:

He could go out with Scotland and smash the shit out of everyone on the pub. Fun times. Boys will be boys.

Should hire him just so we could announce it as payback for our pleasure at the Henderson deal

Also I think he knows a bit about the midfield. Could shake our guys up.

Mate you won't improve within yourself if you think you are mediocre.
You need to believe that you have what it takes to become a bloody good footballer, not even an elite footballer but a good footballer. If you don't believe in yourself, you will stumble at your first hurdle. Half the battle in sports is to get your mind right and to believe in yourself. Lose that and you will never get to the top.
Any professional sports person will tell you that.
We are destroying this list because it suits our plan to turn it over. It really is that simple.

Gentleman, I'm starting to agree. I want to see a new ticket with a complete plan/vision however.
I'm SICK of this crap!

..says you.. ..most champions always have that bit of insecurity that compels them to never relax, to always strive for self-improvement.. ..if you think you are mediocre, you work to improve.. ..thinking you are mediocre, and not believing in yourself are two different things, which i think you're confusing [perhaps deliberately].. ..the playing list is mediocre because ppl believed it was better than it actually is.. ..they got complacent, they slacked off the required work.. ..you can never improve yourself if you don't have an honest assessment.. ..yes we are mediocre, yes we can improve.. ..nowhere is there the belief that its as good as it can ever get so we may as well chuck it in.. ..that's your impression of what's been said, and maybe it should be questioned..

No. This playing list improved over the past 5 years every year. Last year we had injuries that derailed the improvement and changes were made accordingly. Fine, no problem but now to turn around and say the list is "mediocre" when in actual fact the "window should be open" due to drafting/improving/developing does not sit well with me. I don't take failure well and refuse to believe that so many "top" picks within "1" list can fail at once.

I question what is being spun by people to make their agenda look right. That is what I question!

..it's not saying much though is it.. ..yes we improved over 5 years.. ..from a wooden spoon basically, only way was up..

..'08 was a good jump off of the bottom, but we still had smashings.. ..'09 we cracked into the finals, finishing 7th, but choking poorly in the last.. ..mentally fragile, poor work ethic over 4 Q's.. ..'10 we finished 8th, scraped into the finals [barely] and aside from real Judd magic in the 3rd, played a tough brand of footy but wasn't up to swans standard.. ..would of been smashed if not for Judd leading the way..

..in '11 we finished 5th, but you need to look at it closely.. ..didn't beat a single team out of the top 4, and were 2.5 games behind 4th team WCE [previous year's wooden spoon].. ..still couldn't win the 'meaningful' games thru the season..

..last year we crumbled early on, and went backwards at a rapid rate.. ..and there was still a lack of leadership, lack of structure, lack of understanding between positions and systems, no synergy between senior and ressie players etc etc after five yrs..

..it stinks, but we've been fool's gold the last few years.. ..some of us saw earlier, others later.. ..it doesn't matter much anymore, just so long as we take a cold hard look at the group..

Well I DO feel a little lonely in this thread. But what can you do?

I feel a little dumbed down just reading it.

I like your football knowledge Moshe. You really do add a lot on TC.
Keep up the grammer, spelling corrections and sarcasm.
It works for you!

I don't actually do the first two much, except when it makes your posts absolutely unreadable.

But the third? That's not sarcasm! That's an argument. You guys are afraid of change, don't understand change, and resist change. This thread really does need a Change for Dummies primer.

I thought there were some blinkered people over in the Essendon* thread, but this one takes the cake.

As long as you agree with yourself and can talk to the mirror you will never be the dumbest in the room but keep trying.
