Our year is about to become really embarrassing. Time to book a holiday.

Already have. When's trade week and the draft again?

Murphy selection criteria for this week : "mirror mirror on the wall, how will I look rubbing my jaw?"

If he rubs it during training, don't put him out there to rub it on the field.

The season was gone weeks ago anyway, so maybe find a bit more about those deserved souls in the VFL... I keep hearing good things about this guy called Graham, and I'd like to witness him with an opportunity at the top level.

Playing them further reduces their value...

@#$%&! finals... it's shot

Play Graham, Menzel and McInnes

Fair point. Go with

B: Simpson Jamison McInnes
HB: Walker Waite OKeefe
C: Bootsma McLean Tuohy
HF: Judd Henderson Menzel
F: Watson Casboult Murphy
Foll: Kruezer Gibbs Graham
Int: Bell Garlett Cachia Buckley

Let's atleast see what some others can do. Couldn't be any worse.

Play the kids...against the Bulldogs kids. Mind you...those Bulldogs kids look really, really good today Vs the Swans. Those boys are playing for Brendan McCartney. I like what I see. Hopefully the Dogs have a crack at getting the Number 1 pick. Boyd being delivered the footy with that midfield bodes well for the future.

If the Dogs play like this next week, they will win by 5 goals plus.

Play the Kids please.... This generation of number 1 draft picks are proving to be hacks-not mentally strong enough to play finals football.

We might have to spend few years in the bottom before we dream of finals again!!!

Isn't it Sad that teams like Richmond & Fremantle were below us and their youngsters matured to now play finals whilst our youngsters went backwards.... what the heck went Wrong??

The Recruitment department should be the first to be sacked!!! :donk:

Come on guys. Do you really think replacing our admittedly struggling seniors with 5-7 guys from our struggling seconds team is the answer?
Maybe bring in one or two over the coming weeks but those suggesting wholesale changes are kidding themselves.
I thought the boys tried hard against the dockers but we were totally outclassed and couldn't execute under pressure. The number of handballs to feet instead of chests, foot passes forcing players to wait or step backwards - not good enough. Effort to compete was there. Effort to chase and block was not.

I would like to see Graham and Menzel but I am also happy that MM is keeping them in the NBs - part of our problem is that our boys play good footy for 5mins and then think they're champions. We need to change the culture from the ground up. Only sustained, relentless excellence will be rewarded.
(those in the team not performing, will be up for trade)

Why not get games into graham, menzel, Buckley, bootsma
and bell???
Reckon there is about 8-10 blokes who have done nothing
in the last 4-6 weeks, finals are done, now its about the kids....
McInnes still out with injury, so for me it's,
Tuohy Jamison Simpson
Walker Watson bootsma
Gibbs graham garlett
Menzel Henderson buckley
Betts Rowe casboult
Kreuzer judd murphy
Bell armfield Lucas curnow
Waite is finished, lucky to play 8/10 a year..
Need to draft some mids...
Need another tall forward...
Sad that the tigers and Essendon* have stormed passed us..
Yarran needs to show more than he's skills, so so lazy... But not the only one!!
Bring on trade/FA/draft/preseason and rookie draft...
Long way to go

I'm tipping Betts, Yarran, Carrazzo all out for Graham, Buckley and Menzel.

Robbo lucky to survive also.

If you go through every teams player stats its Carlton that have the most players with under 60% efficiency ever week. Should be 75/80% plus demanded. Teams can't afford to carry players with poor skills & decision making.
Some of the offenders are there week in week out too.

Robbo- 23 touches at 57%, that's 10 odd touches cost us.
Cachia- 54%
Rowe- 56%
Kreuzer- 54%
Yarran- 58, so he had 6 useful touches for the game.
Murphy, Garlett & Watson all in 60's.

From what I've seen graham is an effective user & if u were gonna carry an ineffective ball magnet then go with Bell, at least he'll hurt someone and show some muscle on the field.

I've stuck up for Murph forever and a day but the way he just took the beating on the weekend was as weak as water, Crowley had him mind f$#ked from the first bounce, even Lachie Neale was roughing up Murph and received no retaliation. Set the tone for the game. You wouldn't see a Hodge, Selwood, etc do that. Even if its just a scuffle or push n shove it looks better than putting your tail between your legs.

He's out injured and didn't even play on the weekend. No chance of seeing him in the seniors any time soon.
