Reckon there'll be a massive cleanout both at management level and to the list, but it'll be a knee jerk reaction rather than due to the actual realisation that it's a necessity.

Am I the only one to find that side-splittingly funny in an ironic sense? It would be just like Sticks. It would all be done with a gormless sense of indignity.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but i'll post it anyway.

Went to a function for another club on the weekend and the guest speaker was a former Blues assistant coach.

I won't name him, but i'm sure everyone will work it out.

He made a number of public and private comments re Carlton.
Nothing that hasn't been said before on here; i just found it interesting that some on this forum are actually on the money.

Points he made were;

We were a very well resourced club, compared to others he had been at
We were always after the quick fix
Ratts was a good coach but lacked support
Power brokers had to much influence on direction of the club
Certain people more interested in saving their own arses, rather than the best interests of the club
In his opinion, Carrots should've been Captain, but didn't want the job due to the birth of his triplets
Thought MM was a good coach, but this person had a bit of a personal history with him so he didn't get to work with him at the Blues.

I wanted to ask him about the other assistant coaches.....in particular Barker; but didn't get the opportunity due to him being railroaded by a 90 year old fan!

He wasn't scathing of us, as opposed to some other clubs he's been involved with.
He felt MM could be the one to unite us if given the time.

Thanks Mark

He's a very humble person...may prevent him from ever getting a senior job.

This week: Win is what I expect...but who knows...should.
Rest of the season: win 6 of the last 8DELIST AND RETIREMENTS: 8-9
Final position: 9th
Will we trade for the number one pick?: NO
Players we will target: 1 genuine KPP and balance of mids.
Assistant coaches moved on or leave: Dunno
Recruitment staff change: Dunno
Other appointments: Recruitment, Fitness, special supplements coach

Need a new President with a vision and abiltiy to make it happen.

Pratt & Mathiesons are welcome plus some.

Improve on every level in every department and embrace the supporters with honesty, integrity and a will to succeed....complete overhaul of recruitment dept. Get rid of Hughes and make a statement. New Campaign Manager, involved with Membership....and if the above doesn't happen I will join the many I know to boycott the clubs, management (aka President Kerna and his keystone cops) by cancelling my family's membership.

I want the old Carlon back, and I want new leadership in place with a clear vision of how to achieve the17th flag within this decade.
