When individuals put large amounts of money into clubs they sooner or later want there say in how to run the club. Happens in local footy all the time.

Yeah, but he hasn't commented on development at all, he said the sole problem was recruiting.

I actually think it should be. It's at the stage that we get it out in the open and he is someone who will be listened to. Good for everyone.

He said similar things to what was written in the paper.
He does live in Qld and doesnt go to any matches so may not be fully qualified to comment on players but he only said what most of us on this forum have been saying for a couple of years now.
When asked if the club made the right call on Ratten he said absolutely.

So powder balls gets a free pass from the people who matter.

Bruce said the same thing a year ago.

At the time the Ratts issue was starting to flare up, so he waded into that too.
But he has been pushing for better recruiting for a while now.


I think that Sticks is Demetriou-esque in his lack of action, so in a way we almost need these public outbursts to bring about change.


Definitely not ideal, and a sure sign of the dysfunction present.

Never happen. Doesn't want to and he can still have as much influence from the outside as being on a board. Atleast on the outside he can voice an opinion.

Our 150th is shaping as a laugh for the rest of the comp. Just like our last year at PP.

We'll be lucky to make 160 without merging, relocating or being sold.

How we did not reshape the list last pre season i will never know. A new mix and a new balance to the team could have been half achieved already. Instead we wait another year.
Too many laying it all at the feet of the old coach and taking their eye off the ball to solving the real problem.
