And Argo, we're not talking about playing every home game there. Say 4 games a year against the expansion sides and the lowly Melbourne clubs. If (and I mean IF, I've already acknowledged how impractical it would be) you could fill Princess Park to the rafters surely that's better than a 1/3 capacity at Docklands.

Makes sense for us to push for Visy if the AFL are serious about a boutique stadium and not just using it as a negotiating ploy with Etihad. Seriously doubt we'd play many games there but it could make us a few bucks and help us in future negotiations with the other grounds.

Just look at Geelong tonight with their developed home ground.

They are taking the first step to lock in generations of supporters.

Apparently, it was quoted on the radio today that Geelong might pocket $800K for each home game.

The development of Princes Park is the biggest issue for our current Board to deal with.

The success or failure of Carlton is now in their hands.

it was then because we played all of our games there....

we wont be now... so if we play 2 or 3 games there.. and so do a few other clubs how is it our home ground.

b) give it to us after THEY not US have invested hudreds of millions assuming they decide to do that
c) believe me its been looked at before and wont ever be happening... Malouf was brought in from the MCC for that particular reason.
Ive actually had achat to him re that... he said would be impossible to get the council to spare Carlton more land.... not happening.. never will.. and the way the residents are now without games being played for coming onto a decade... dead and buried.

Now who have you spoken to in regards to what the MCC and the residents feel about a full blown stadium in that area???
