Totally agree.

Looking on the bright side - at least we don't follow Melbourne.

Our ferocity at the pill is great. We are going in hard for the ball.Which in effect is we are getting the number one rule in footy right.I believe if we maintain this ferocity the other key ingredients will come into play and we will be away.No doubt the boys are busting there backsides but are just a tad off key.Robbo,Carrots, and Simmo are off no doubt but are trying...............it will turn.Reckon our second half of the season will see us come home with a wet sail.

Like I've said before, Mick is gonna give everyone on the list a chance to prove themselves and those that don't impress will be gone.

The way Mick works is he has a core group of players he calls his A graders, these 12 or 14 players are the engine room and the bookends of his game plan.

The rest he calls the support act. He develops kids to fill roles around the main act.

So This year for Mick is working out who are the A graders and who can play the support act. Those that don't fit in any where will be moved in.

Mick will also find players via trades or the draft to fill the support act roles.

I also expect there to be massive changes come our football department.

That's interesting.

Where do you see the changes? Assistants/Fitness staff?

We know Mick is right into Lingy after his interview on TV a few weeks ago. My tip is Lingy could be groomed as a successor.

I'd remove Scottland (age) and Maclean from that list. Possibly Hampson but that's if Charlie Dixon decides to take up our offer.

The next move for mick is developing the support act. Players like Menzel, graham, Temay, Buckley, O'keefe and Mcarthy survive

The ones in danger are warnock, maclean, scottland, Ellard, Joseph, Watson, Mitchell, dale and bell.

They will make room for the new draftees and players we trade for

He'll be fit....and wanted.

That's what I'm hearing.

When Mick arrived at the club, he demanded not many changes to be made other than some assistants moving in but tha was due to some internal issues and the Arizona camp.

I like the way we can just throw year after year after year away due to development or adjustments or plans, while others just bust a gut and play finals year after year after year...

We're 0-3, Bombers 3-0... I have a bet that we'll finish above them ...and we will.
Year ran kicks straight...we win against the tigers, matched Collingwood....actually dominated them...should've put the game away. The purple patch at the start of the last got them in front....we dominated the rest of the quarter and copped some silly goals BUT when we were pounding forward, the ball gets kicked out by Mcaffer...after Clarke dropped it...no free. Armfield runs to it, walker supports ... Brown shoves him in the back..no free...Brown back to Mcaffer I think. Over the top goal to Collingwood. Game over... We have to score two goals and we roll the dice and loose....one free, probably a goal...the other free...another inside 50 + time... There's no disasters yet...the losses will cost ...but no disasters yet people...

There is absolutely no point in peaking too early.

The premiership side peaks on grand final day, not in April.

I'm so glad we're not Essendon* or Richmond. Who would want to be 3 and 0 in April. They have no chance.

Do we have 12 - 14 A graders? Apart from Waite not playing, Two of our leadership group, Duigans and Simpson are a long way off their best. Reckon it will be a fascinating year to watch how the player management / development unfolds then an interesting trade / draft period.

Charlie Dixon?

Like what I've seen from him recently.

Are we chasing him? Would be handy.

Hi trublu, What does Mick have against Bell ? I heard a rumour Bell did something minor off field and was punnished for it but it seems to be dragging on a bit. I dont mind him not being selected but saying he may well be traded seems extreme. Was he doing Malthouse impersonations without knowing Mick was standing behind him at a pie night after the first round NAB game?

Looks to me like he could be a solid player for the blues. Would be a shame to lose him.

Werent exactly killed by the Cats and the Filth.
The good thing is that despite being way off our best, we ve still been within touching disatance of victory with 2 minutes to go in all 3 of our games. If we were uncompetitive totally like Melbourne, or giving away big leads and getting blown away like the Kangas, then I'd be concerned.

We can easily still make 6th-8th, where most of us thought we d end up anyway.

Mick loves team players. Tommy Bell runs one way. Tommy Bell play for himself. He tries to hard.
