If we brought that bitter old moo in to make sure we could beat port and gold coast we probably paid overs.

Beat woods last year but most every game he coached against then prior.
Best ESS two times in five years.
Beat stkilda once.
Sydney once
North once.
Hawthorn never
Geelong once
And one elimination final.

Great achievement.

I don't think all those examples are true. Go through the fixtures and you will find he did quite well against the pies. Beat sydney a few times.
North once, Hawthorn never, Geelong a couple of times and Essendon* a lot more than twice. He beat them twice in one year - is that what you meant?

Perhaps the problem has little to do with MM or Ratts.

Perhaps is has to do with a club so !@#$%& eager to chest beat it rushed the rebuild, it forced Ratts to proclaim what shoukdn't have been proclaimed, it forced the changes to the wrong department - again.

Perhaps we'll be close to something but not really to !@#$%& anything that matters.

Perhaps its time to have a !@#$%& good look at Melbourne and ask ourselves - do we want to go there?

I wanted MM over Ratts because I hope MM will shake the right boughs of this stupid old !@#$%& fruit tree.

Oh and I love Kruise. I'd have made him captain!

Large amount of truth to that (not do much the kruise is captain, but the other stuff)

I'm convinced the club is now no more than some sort of bizarro skull and bones society that has no interest in winning flags but rather maintaining the status quo and power balance of an otherwise worthless core of a club.

In conclusion, Pacey from Dawson's Creek will save us.

WE'VE IMPROVED!!!! Just get it through your head verbs. If Ratten was coaching we would be 0-7 right now.

We lost the first three in 2008.

No wins in the first five would be the first time since 1989.

Cripes.

Five years of nothingness.

Mick Deserves five years too.. before we can do an apples with apples oranges with oranges comparison...

FIVE YEARS and a bunch of hack half back flankers to show for it...

I've got the best site sponsorship idea ever....every site member chips in a dollar a week, the bet....pick the cauliflower that has never done a flower thing in his whole flower life, and probably never will again, who wins a game off his own boot against our pack of wannabes.

The person who picks the most of these cauliflower throughout the year wins 50% of the prize pool and the rest goes into the upkeep of the site.

We'll be talkinggoogle in no time....

Hold on, you were on Ratts back after 2 years....so Malthouse has 2 years.

No worries, either way....Malthouse doesn't have 5 years to turn this thing around.

I expect it this year.

1 finals win but only 3-4points away from a prelim.

After watching the nab final, richmond game and todays game, we won't get close to 3-4 points away from a prelim. I will hold my breath and hope Malthouse can turn it around. Gotta give a coach time to implement his game style. Around the 1/2 way mark of the season we should be able to judge.

Right now, l just hope we will make finals at the moment. If we are 0-5 and that is quite possible with our draw, put the cue in the rack.

We are still a few years away from bring run like a proper football club.

By then Mick will be gone, some new untried coach will be in charge after a process.

Also at this stage there will be no Judd, Scotland, Waite, Simpson or Carrazzo.

So unless our recruiting/player development improves dramatically the future isn't very bright.

We will be lower/mid ladder watching GC and GWS dominate.

Still 1 win.

And yes we will play in a prelim in the next 5 years.
