You still aren't confirming that they will definately annoounce Carrots as Captain.

In Mick's post match presser he said a decision still hasn't been made.

Watch this space.............

Has just signed for 2 more years. You`d think that would coincide with the captaincy.

I am a little surprised I must be honest, in the naming of Murphy Captain. But hey, what do I know, I can only judge by what I see, which is probably very little.

Haha. Why did you think that? I'm not concerned. I don't know enough to be concerned. I am an optimist! ;)

I will raise this topic again. That is, "Leadership concern". Looking at the game, without knowing who Carlton's Captain was, you would be hard pressed to name Murphy. I'm not convinced that Carlton has great on field leaders.
Why is this?
Irrespective of circumstances, great leaders stand strong and define what is known as a real true Leader.
Perhaps it's something that is being worked on at the club and I will soon happily eat humble pie. But, right now, it certainly doesn't look like I will be anytime soon.
Judd for me still stands out as being the only exception.
Aghhh....please, other TC'er's brighten my outlook!! :/

I agree, and lack of general leadership was a large reason why the pies ran over us.

Strong Leadership becomes evident when the going gets difficult and this was not very evident in the last quarter. Looking to see improvement in this vital area.

Hmmm....so far I have people agreeing with me...unfortunately, as I expected.
We need a new culture at the club, I suspect. Hello M. Malthouse...

and despite Nick Maxwell's very limited footballing ability, he is an excellent captain. far too may introverts at our club. hope MM can rectify that next year. Far be it for me, to question our illustrious leader, but our current captain is even more of an introvert than the previous one. not sure that is the best fit for our team right now

Our leadership group;
One cant get a game,
One sitting in the stands suspended again,
One got mauled all night,
One should be dropped,
One injured.

Cannot argue with any of this.

Leadership at our club is feeble. So many times there has been the chance to make a stand and they don't. Not just with the playing group either.

We have the best leaders in the AFL, maybe slightly behind Melbourne.

Waite – always injured and when he gets back into the team gets reported in the first quarter
Duigan – not good enough to be in the senior team
Simpson – by all evidence nearing the end, playing his worst football for many years
Murphy – seems to be struggling a tad with captaincy, and not exactly a physically imposing captain
Carrazzo – doing OK but injured a bit
Judd – doesn’t want to be captain nor in the leadership group anymore
Gibbs – not in leadership group because he needs to focus on his own game
Betts - gets rubbed out for 3 weeks (technically a fiver!)

Did I miss anyone ??
