Good outcome - the clout we are gathering at board level is ominous for other clubs. We are getting our mojo back with some serious mix of corporate heavyweights. Now just want to see some results on field.

The best thing about this isn't just Fahour and Sayers etc.

It's that the Carlton Board will be a place that others now queue up to be a part of because of the greater connectedness of those now on it.

The new appointments are a step in the right direction but it's the fact that the direction itself has changed that's really significant.

Good signs.

They're going to have to have an election next year. It'd shock me if someone put their hand up to step down before then.

So up for re-election are Jeanne Pratt, Adrian Gleeson, Zac Fried as they avoided it last time when Ryan Trainor was given the free pass and I'd also like to think Newton and Lee are up as well being the next longest serving. Suss and Harrison were due to be up, but they're now out.

So when September/October comes around next year...here's the board and their tenure as board members.

Clarke - 6 years, 8 months
Fahour - 1 year
Fried - 6 years, 10 months
Geminder - 3 years, 6 months
Gleeson - 7 years, 6 months
Kernahan - 16 years
Lee - 7 years, 6 months
LoGiudice - 3 years, 5 months
Mathieson - 1 year
Newton - 7 years, 6 months
Pratt - 2 year, 6 months
Sayers - 1 year
Trainor - 1 year

Time for Gleeson, Newton, and Lee to move on as well.

Scott, things aren't as happy as they used to be down here at the unemployment office. Joblessness is no longer just for Philosophy majors - useful people are starting to feel the pinch.

Why the hell is Gleeson still on the board ? Sticks the reluctant president, ok yeh expect us to believe that crap. Succession plan.. Ok Whatever. The sooner Sticks and Gleeson are also gone from the board, the better.......

Sticks needed a right hand man. I liken him to Dan Quayle. For the next 12 months, he's merely just a seat.

We need to leave a spot for Juddy in a couple of years
