Can bring hardness and defensive mindset for the midfield to the group.

...and a few venues for Mad Monday '13. Can't see him leaving Geelong, but well worth a go...would be good for the midfield and forward group in particular.

We might have trouble fitting him in at Visy...... with Mitch Robinson (CEO), Levi Dasboult (Company Secretary) and Travis Cloke on the Board....

A concern i had with MM is that he is not in touch with the game of 2012. So surrounding himself with recently retired players is critical, and Wiley, Brown are not that. Ling ticks that box and is premiership captain too boot. That said , he comes from the school of thought that you attack through the corridor, not around the boundary like MM is reknowned for, so interesting too see how their style gel.

Ling on our side is a massive plus. Would almost smooth out my MM concerns. Almost.

Great get by the club. Lingy should be able to teach the midfield group about the defensive aspects of countering sides on the spread. To many times in 2012 were Carlton ripped apart on the spread.

...not getting too excited over Lingy. Robert Harvey was a glorified tracksuit during his stint at the Blues, so hopefully Ling can bring a bit more than Harvs did.

Paul Williams wasn't much better by the sounds of things. Lets hope Lingy can have more of a impact.

Lingy seems to be a better communicator than Harvey

Ling just said on seven that he's not coaching at Carlton next year.
